L I think I found a hidden gem in Lafayette. My dear friend wanted to bring me out to celebrate my birthday. We drove from Alexandria la to Lafayette today. We walked in, and a server said we could find an empty seat. We were greeted by our server and ordered drinks and appetizers. My drinks were a coke and an espresso martini. My espresso was made to perfection. Our appetizers were the BBQ BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP..... Bacon wrapped shrimp in a savory NOLA style butter BBQ sauce which was delicious. We also ordered the BRISKET FRIES. Smoked brisket, pepperjack, cheddar, Cajun BBQ, chipotle aioli, and green onion. I swear those cheese fries were the best cheese fries Ive ever eaten in my entire natural born life. Wow wow wow. I sat in shock about how good they were. We ordered our entrees I ordered the GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST...... Chargrilled chicken breast,, with grilled veggie medley and roasted fingerling potatoes. It was so delicious. My friend ordered the REDFISH VERMILION. Grilled redfish topped with crawfish etoufee, served with chargrilled asparagus. I tasted some of her dish. It was yummy as well. Our server was nice and kind and treated us well as he maintained the bar. The atmosphere was laid back and it seemed everyone enjoyed being there. It was our first time and we definitely will be back.

Sabra Crappell Huge servings of delicious greatness at a great price. Food is fresh, hot and yummy. It didnt take long to get our food but dont expect fast food restaurant time. I ordered combination chicken and shrimp fried rice that 3 people could share, a small fried pickle order that was probably a large order somewhere else, an order of 10 dumplings, and a 5 piece order of fried wings with a side of fried rice. All for less than $30. We really enjoyed our meal and the leftovers!

Sara Goodrich They were packed the day we went. We had a reservation and was told we may potentially need to wait because the tables were taking a while. Luckily we didn’t have to wait. My husband and I ordered the Cajun corn dip, the crab cakes (appetizer), a cup of Gumbo, and the blackened duck. We got everything fairly quickly. Only the duck took a while but still fast for having every table filled. Everything was phenomenal. We were so impressed with the blackened duck. It was juicy and the fat was rendered well. The corn dip was super tasty and came with plenty of tortilla chips. The crab cakes were the best. My husband isn’t very fond of them but he loved them, especially since it isn’t so heavy on the breading. Our server was Karla W and she was fantastic, checking on us often without being disruptive. She was kind, informative, and efficient. We highly recommend this place. We were in and out within an hour on a busy night!

James Mischler My visits to Flying Heart have always been great! I go about once a month, and the food, service, and atmosphere are excellent! On my most recent visit, I showed the wait person, Ember, a photo of a pizza I had there a few months ago (I didn’t remember its name). She figured it out, and I had the Cajun pizza and its savory sauce, called Gris Gris. I also had a side salad—so big it could be a meal by itself. They also have a good selection of drinks. Overall, the food was good, Ember was attentive and constantly checked to see how I was doing, and the atmosphere was relaxed. As always, I had a great time. I highly recommend Flying Heart Brewing and Pub!

Sirish Mahavadi Excellent food, very courteous staff and great atmosphere. The food was really good especially the spicy green sauce. We ordered taco salad, veggie quesadillas and cheese enchiladas. The veggie quesadillas were great. Portions are not too big just right amount. The staff was very courteous and willing to help.

Yasemin Baraz Well it could me more stylish. I had a gyro with rice and arabic salad jalapenos corn feta and cucumbers. This taste is so familiar just because I am from Istanbul originally. Very good service. Nice lady took the time to explain me every detail. I dont eat chicken or pork. The portion is a good size. Theres free parking in front of the store.it is clean and open kitchen makes it possible to watch while your meal is prepared. I wanted to try the Dubai chocolate dessert or baklava but I was full. Maybe next time. Definitely recommend it.
