Chad Banghart I had a great experience at Maru in Midland this afternoon for lunch. After growing up eating at their original location in Okemos for years, this was my first time at this specific location and it didn’t disappoint.
Pictures attached are the following:
Pic 1 (appetizers): gyoza, rangoon dip, kimchi arancini.
Pic 2 (sushi): On top is the crouching tiger roll (sauces on side) and a cali roll. On bottom is a Cosmo roll with salmon and tuna.
Pic 3 (dessert): seasonal pumpkin spice crème brûlée with candied walnuts and dried cranberries.
I also couldnt say nicer things about our waitress (Stacy L.). She was on top of everything despite being busy during an afternoon rush they weren’t expecting. She’s an all-star who knows how to provide quality, insightful, quick, but non-pushy service. And of course she talked me into ordering dessert despite having no plans to — glad I did!
Will be back in the future without any hesitation!
