Both the lentil and chicken soups are perfection in a bowl I’ve honestly lost count of how many times I’ve ordered them. Even my kids, who can be picky eaters, love coming here. The fresh salads are another highlight crisp, vibrant, and clearly made with quality ingredients. While the food isn’t fancy or pretentious, it’s undeniably delicious. What I especially appreciate is their commitment to seasonal cooking. The specials change regularly based on what’s fresh, so there’s always something new to discover alongside your favorites. Taylor Ramirez This place is a must try! Originally from out of town but came here as we were passing through for a concert at Little Cesars Arena. Katie was our server and she was wonderful! She made recommendations, was personable and very kind! The food was top tier in flavor! We got the Mac and cheese Gouda bites and firecracker shrimp. Delicious! We also both got burgers/fries.. one of the best I’ve had! If you’re in the area I recommend you don’t miss checking this place out. Ask for Katie, she made the experience what it was! Ilena V. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolute perfection from start to finish! We attended a private New Year’s Eve event at Batter Up Bistro in Lansing, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The space is absolutely beautiful—so charming, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly well done. It felt warm, elegant, and welcoming the moment we walked in. The staff was so friendly and attentive, and the owners are some of the kindest, most genuinely welcoming people you could ever meet. You can truly feel the care and pride they put into every detail. The food was outstanding. We were served filet mignon and salmon with mashed potatoes and broccolini, and it was mouthwatering. Everything was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. We could not have asked for a better experience or a better way to ring in the New Year. Batter Up Bistro is something special, and we highly recommend it!

Neal Bakshi How this place got 4.4 stars is beyond me. The food is delicious (although a tad pricy), the service is highly attentive and top notch, and the atmosphere is nice and clean. We went on a Wednesday night and it was not that busy. The decor is nice and the bathrooms are clean. The small plates all look so good, but we went with the brussel sprouts and feta which we would absolutely order again. The former better than the latter in my opinion. The salmon entree was perfect and has we only ordered these 3 dishes, we would’ve been completely satiated. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs however and we got the vegan paella as well, which we mostly ended up taking home. This place is a great spot for a date night, night out with friends, or other upscale but not too fancy dinner. Great food and truly stand out service.
