Joes Grill - (Near Troy, MI)

Drea Phillips It was fairly busy when we arrived but only had to wait about one minute for a booth to be set up. They were very quick in seating us. Dining companions ordered breadsticks with marinara and garlic dip (seemed to be a cream cheese spread with garlic flavor). They enjoyed. The salads and minestrone were both good- fresh tasting. Then the meals came and the portions were very large! I loved the orange roughy with an orange ginger sauce, companion one enjoyed the chicken and ribs meal, and companion two enjoyed the perch. The sweet potato casserole was a bit too sweet. Desserts were brought out- the carrot cake was moist and delicious, the pumpkin cheesecake was delicious, and the caramel sundae was perfect. Service was great. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. She was able to help me order dairy free and was great about asking questions in the kitchen for me. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. Bathrooms are very clean. Great experience. Will go back!

Chad Banghart I had a great experience at Maru in Midland this afternoon for lunch. After growing up eating at their original location in Okemos for years, this was my first time at this specific location and it didn’t disappoint. Pictures attached are the following: Pic 1 (appetizers): gyoza, rangoon dip, kimchi arancini. Pic 2 (sushi): On top is the crouching tiger roll (sauces on side) and a cali roll. On bottom is a Cosmo roll with salmon and tuna. Pic 3 (dessert): seasonal pumpkin spice crème brûlée with candied walnuts and dried cranberries. I also couldnt say nicer things about our waitress (Stacy L.). She was on top of everything despite being busy during an afternoon rush they weren’t expecting. She’s an all-star who knows how to provide quality, insightful, quick, but non-pushy service. And of course she talked me into ordering dessert despite having no plans to — glad I did! Will be back in the future without any hesitation!

Tim R Excellent choice for good food if you’re in this area. I continue to eat here and it doesn’t disappoint. Falafels are always fresh. Meats are never too dry. I’ve eaten here several times. I get the larger portion options and it’s never failed to be very good food. I wouldn’t push the word “healthy” super hard on it, but when you compare other options that are fast, like a drive thru place, this is the better option. Food is great, always fast service, one time when I DoorDash’d it the driver forgot a bag, the manager called me to tell me this and even orchestrated getting the bag to me. Easily my choice when I don’t want to get groceries as someone who works in a food industry on a daily basis. Sauces are on point!

Mickey Cook I am from out of state so I have never been to this place. Dylan and Dave were super friendly and hugely helpful to someone who had no knowledge of the menu. They even helped us get the app set up so we could get a discount on our order :) The restaurant was clean and comfortable and the wings were bomb diggity! I got the Apple Chipotle dry rub and the Snobby Q flavors. I am a wing snob and I was very happy with my meal. Fries were really good, like everything was perfect. And getchoo some pretzel bites too. Mmmmm....

James Maxwell Its not a sit down place, its get great food and take it home place. Been going here for years have tried others but always just once and then come back. You can watch them cook theres no instant rice, lol, or anything that I have ever had that wasnt cooked properly, not sure what some of these comments are about but seriously literally have ate here over 10 years and never had a bad meal.
