JP’s Trolley Stop - Taylor

Rating: 4.3 /5
Mark Henderson First time in a long while we stopped here. The place looks great. I ordered the club sandwich and it was fantastic. Absolutely loved the smoked bacon. Definitely a five-star rating. Would love to come back to try a few more things.

Ginza Ramen - Clinton Township

Rating: 4.7 /5
GLTheGameMaster (GL) Really fantastic katsu and fish donburi, the polluck especially was delicious and well cooked. Our favorite was actually the croquette, simple but tasty sauce on the potatoes! Calamari was crispier with a thicker breading than I’m typically into, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Their milk tea just comes in a can so I wouldn’t recommend that though. Nice atmosphere and service the few times I’ve been here, I recommend for sure the prices are fair too for the portions.

Garden District - Grand Rapids

Rating: 4.7 /5
larry Hollinger As a native Louisiana boy, Im always skeptical when places try to recreate the New Orleans vibe and cuisine—most end up feeling touristy and miss the mark. But this spot? Not even close. The ingredients taste like they were flown in straight from the Big Easy, and you can feel generations of soul in every bite. We had the Étouffée, Jambalaya, and Gumbo Yaya—all absolutely delicious. And hey, I didn’t have to cook them myself, so that’s always a win. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere genuinely made me feel like I’d been teleported home. If youre looking to experience Louisiana without the long drive, I highly recommend this place. My only minor critique: the Étouffée sauce had a touch too much flour, which made it slightly grainy, and the rice was a bit overcooked. But those are small things when the flavors are this on point.

The Bowery Grille & Pub - Canton Township

Rating: 4 /5
Thomas Ruszkiewicz Jr My parents would take us to the Bowery when I was 12. I can say that I have eaten there a handful of times in the last 47 years. I forgot how good their French Dip is. My wife ordered the black bean burger and was very pleased. Both meals came with a substantial amount of fries (sadly, when I asked the waitress if the ranch was thick or soupy, she replied soupy). Im glad she was honest, I didnt waste money on half and half with ranch mix. Side note, Why do some restauranteurs insist on watering down the ranch dressing. I digress. The meat on French Dip was tender and the au jus was tasty.

Joanne Andres The food was great. They have gluten free ravioli and cannoli. Both delicious! The servers were so sweet and helpful. Our party of 4 turned into a party of 8 and they had no problem accommodating us with a smile.
