Midland Brewing Company - (Near Midland, MI)

5 /5 Diane P: Great food, great craft beers, great atmosphere and friendly, attentive servers! We were on a day long road trip and looked in our HOP Passport Book to find a brewery to eat at. So glad we found Midland Brewing! We arrived between lunch and dinner (the reason there are so many empty seats in the pictures) which was great because we got to take in the whole atmosphere. Our server, Klaudia, was wonderful, very friendly and helpful with our selections. We tried several craft beers, all of which were so good it made it difficult to choose! The smoked meatloaf was delicious, an absolute must try! We were there on a Wednesday, which is their wing and pitcher of beer special, which includes several of their craft beers at a great price. We were set on trying the meatloaf so we will definitely be going back on a Wednesday. We visit many breweries throughout Michigan with our HOP Passport Book and Midland is definitely at the top of our favorites list!

5 /5 savana bellows: Very unique brewery. Had lots of beer to choose from. Service was amazing. He was extremely helpful. Food was amazing. Highly recommend the meat loaf and the carrot cake.

3 /5 Amanda Silvernaile: Not the best experience last night. Bar drinks were great. Ribs, Smoked Meatloaf and Pulled Pork Pork were also great. However, two people in my party ordered fried Halibut Fish dinner. They came out burned. We said something to the waitress and she told us "That is how it always looks, its the type of batter we use." The batter was not just very dark brown, but parts were black. The fish inside tasted OK, but the fried batter tasted and smelled burned. Vegetarian Burgers were musy, but guests did not complain until I asked why they didnteat them. We received no help from the waitress and no discount or offer for new fish. I spent about $300 so a few replacment pieces of fish would have been nice. It was steady with customers, but not super busy with open tables. I still left a heafty tip hoping it was just an off night for everybody.

5 /5 Mark Thomas: The place is pretty amazing. The staff is super quick and extremely nice. The look is inviting and relaxing, light wood and stone with a copper ceiling. Huge bar on one side, low-tops with benches opposing it and lots of high-top and low-top tables in between. Those in wheelchairs or with walkers/crutches might have some problems getting through the tables, they are a bit too close together. Need to stick to the periphery near the bar to get beyond the first tables. Music was good but occasionally too loud for such a wide-open space. Ordered a flight - of four - to go with my fish & chips. The fish is among the best Ive had. The batter has good flavor and is not just a calorie-enhancing breading. If you put anything on the fries, you are doing yourself a disservice. Id cut back the salt a touch but beyond that they are perfect. Light, crispy, flavorful. Worth the $19. Even the coleslaw, often an afterthought in this situation, is delicious. The beer is solid, too. Ranging from a California Common to a Stout to a Milkshake IPA (such a great style).
