4 /5 Mark Thomas: Dropped a rider off around the corner and felt my stomach growling.
Came in for BBQ but when I saw catfish on the menu, I shifted gears immediately. With collard greens & coleslaw & a massive pice of garlic toast.
The vibe is family style restaurant and the decor doesnt - thankfully - follow the trend of bare wood, metal & country music. In fact, the tunes, pleasantly in the background, were 60s & 70s pop and R & B.
Service was quick & professional.
Food was solid and in plentiful portions. Huge catfish filet with cornmeal breading was crispy outside, tender inside. Collard greens were a big portion and flavorful. Be careful, I found a bone. Slaw was tasty. Nothing stood out, but I wouldnt say no to a return trip.
