Olive Garden Italian Restaurant - (Near Livonia, MI)

1 /5 Kcar: Haven’t been here in 3 years after a bad experience. 3 years later and this place is just as bad as before if not worse. We went earlier this week and waited so long for everything and there were barely any customers. The waitress, Dakira T lied about them having soup. She had 3 different stories and then suddenly “found” the one soup, not the other one. The soup that was brought to the table was all crunchy as if it was never fully cooked and had absolutely no taste to it. Everyone’s food came out at different times and was cold. The majority of the food came with the to go boxes after the other people’s meals had been sitting on the table for over 30 minutes. I chose not to touch my meal because my children’s kids meals never came and I wasn’t going to eat in front of them so my food just sat in the table and got cold. Eventually my husband just fed all his meal to the kids because they had no food. When their food came out it was cold. No drink refills. No straws. The whole entire meal was ruined. The “manager” Justin Mackin came over and when we told him what happened, he said maybe don’t come back for a couple of years and things will be better then. Weird response for someone running the store. He was very defensive of the waitress rather than showing genuine concern for paying customer’s experiences. He is very inauthentic and fake. Neither him nor the waitress seemed to care that our New Year’s Eve meal was ruined. He took some of the bill off but we still spent a lot of money for an absolutely horrible experience.

5 /5 Sally B: Our server was Anthony. Best server and service ever at a restaurant of this level. He was extremely polite, funny and more than on his game in terms of servicing our party of 4 during our peak weekend dinner visit!! Food was great and the drinks were very good, as always at this location. Thank you Anthony for your 5 star service!!

1 /5 Natalie Decker: Came here for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner and service was so slow we got there at 8:30 and left at 10:10 after closing. By the way there was only about 5 tables of around 2 there. It took 15 mins just for us to get our plates for the appetizers after already having the appetizers given to us. I said something and our server said “yeah I know I’m getting them” just seemed kinda rude we shouldn’t have to wait for our plates to eat. By the time we got them we were done with the appetizer. We said we wanted to look over the menu for a little longer and it took our server about 15 mins or more to come back just for us to order our entrees. Also we never got refills for our drinks the whole time. The chicken and gnocchi soup was bitter and not even worth eating. Overall wouldn’t ever go or recommend this place. Was very disappointed for trying to take him out for his birthday it was horrible. If I could leave 0 I would.

5 /5 Indulekha Brooks: Never in my entire life of eating out have I ever had a server that was actually a true rock star. Tia was phenomenal! She explained the dishes to us throughly because we had my 2 year old granddaughter with us and we wanted to order food she would eat and wouldn’t be a choking hazard for her. Of course Tia found the perfect dish for her and also put the broccoli in my granddaughter’s dish off the side so we could cut it up into safe bite size pieces for her. Everything she recommended was completely spot on! Tia anticipated that some people may not be onion fans so she put them in a dish on the side of our salad, she was right about that too. She placed a stack of napkins on the wine stand directly behind my daughter so they were immediately ready for any 2 year old accidents. We didn’t even need to ask for to go boxes because Tia was paying close attention and saw that we were going to be needing them. There were several anticipatory things that Tia did during our lunch that made it the most relaxing and enjoyable lunch we have ever had. She was friendly, happy, relaxed, considerate, knowledgeable and so much more. Tia honestly treated us like we were her best friends. I can not sing her praises high enough to convey what an incredible person she is. Olive Garden is sitting on a gem that would better serve them at a corporate level overseeing newly hired staff members. Tia has set the bar. The food itself was absolutely delicious, the restaurant was immaculate, the prices were great, location and parking were both convenient. This Olive Garden has got it together 100% and I highly, highly, highly recommend a visit. Ask for Tia, trust me you will be so happy you did.
