5 /5 Ellie Sellers: This afternoon, I had the pleasure of dining at Prost Wine Bar & Charcuterie in Bay City, and it more than lived up to its reputation. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding.
Ambiance & Service
Walking into Prost, you’re greeted by chic decor and warm lighting that sets a relaxed yet upscale tone. The staff were gracious, attentive, and clearly passionate about their menu — they walked us through wine pairings and made thoughtful suggestions without ever being pushy.
Our server, Morgan was the epitome of what a server should strive to be! She was very nice and went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for our dining experience. 12/10 service.
The Food
Two highlights especially stood out:
Chorizo Bowl: Bold, savory, and perfectly balanced. The chorizo was rich and spiced just right, paired with complementary ingredients so that each bite offered depth and contrast. It was hearty without being heavy, and left me wanting more.
Berry Ricotta Flatbread: What a delight. The sweetness of the berries and the creamy tang of the ricotta played beautifully against the crisp, slightly chewy flatbread crust. It was elegant but unfussy — a perfect example of how Prost elevates simple ingredients into something memorable.
Every dish was thoughtfully plated and clearly made with care.
Overall Impressions
Prost strikes a lovely balance: it feels special enough for a celebration but comfortable enough to visit any day. For anyone in or passing through Bay City looking for amazing food, great wine, and a refined, friendly atmosphere — Prost is a gem.
