Slate Eatery - (Near Pontiac, MI)

Drea Phillips It was fairly busy when we arrived but only had to wait about one minute for a booth to be set up. They were very quick in seating us. Dining companions ordered breadsticks with marinara and garlic dip (seemed to be a cream cheese spread with garlic flavor). They enjoyed. The salads and minestrone were both good- fresh tasting. Then the meals came and the portions were very large! I loved the orange roughy with an orange ginger sauce, companion one enjoyed the chicken and ribs meal, and companion two enjoyed the perch. The sweet potato casserole was a bit too sweet. Desserts were brought out- the carrot cake was moist and delicious, the pumpkin cheesecake was delicious, and the caramel sundae was perfect. Service was great. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. She was able to help me order dairy free and was great about asking questions in the kitchen for me. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. Bathrooms are very clean. Great experience. Will go back!

Phoenix Swope Restaurant week, day 1! Amazing food. My wife and I had the prix frixe, of course, and loved every bite. Spicy salmon bites, Seoul flounder, and a strawberry mousse (second strawberry dish today, coincidentally). I think my favorite was actually the salmon bites, but everything was good. The staff were excellent!

Aingelina Dumond We had a great experience at fish bones, the food atmosphere and service were all amazing our server was very nice and funny! I dont remember his name i think it mightve been Danny or something close to that; either way he was very nice and mine and husbands honeymoon lunch amazing and the food was so so good ive never had genuine cajun food so i dont have anything to compare it to but for what it was it was super good the seafood wasnt overcooked and everything we got had amazing flavor we will definitely be going back

Tony Eats Pizza Once my wife found out Eminem used to work here, we had to go. Since they had pizza, I agreed. Vibe in here is super cool! Love the train they have running around the ceiling. The kids got their first flaming cheese experience here, so that was very awesome! Pretzel sticks and pizzas were very good! Pasta dishes were good, but not as big of a hit as the pizza, cheese and pretzel sticks. They have some t shirts you can buy, and they also have some great specials, including half off pizzas on Mondays for dine in! The bloody mary bar looked pretty great, if thats your thing!

Paulina Hoffman I went for the drinks but I couldn’t resist the sliders and sweet potato fries. Food was hot and everything tasted good. I tried a Raspberry Lemonade Nitro of some sort and it was delicious!(if you don’t like really strong beer I’d try this one, it’s very smooth) Oh and Trivia Tuesday! I’ll be back! Also! Lots of seating options, booths, bar rail, high tops, ground level you name it!

Lexi Price We had such a great experience with Cee as our waitress. She walked us through the menu and what Mertens was offering. We came during restaurant week so we had an amazing 3 course meal. The drinks were amazing the both Cee and the bartender went out of their way to make our drinks up to our liking. Great experience!
