Aileen Bowlby The new owners are not newcomers to the restaurant business and run an excellent business! Service could not have been better on our visit tonight, with our waitress being so cheerful, friendly, and helpful that wed come back again just to be waited on by her regardless of the food. The food was wonderful by the way. I highly recommend their al pastor which you can get the regular way or with extra grilled pineapple. I opted for one of each to compare, and theyre both fantastic, with the latter being my top pick because I love the flavor of grilled pineapple. My husband got chicken enchiladas with green sauce. The cheese on top is delicious and the sauce brought most of the flavor to the chicken, which was cooked well and moist but a little plain tasting. He said hed ask for chicken tinga or beef next time. Their salsas are tasty, with the smokiness of the spicy chipotle salsa and excellent flavor and kick to the green jalapeno salsa being great choices for those who like spicy food, and their regular salsa a delicious choice for the less adventurous. Turning into the driveway is tricky if youre heading west on Ford, so if traffic is heavy, to avoid a potential accident turning there you may want to go past and turn around. I hope you enjoy it here as much as we did. We look forward to our next visit!

Tabatha Dearman We had an excellent lunch here after touring Meadowbrook Estate! This was our first time visiting and we loved the atmosphere. The menu had plenty of variety and the service was excellent. I wish I remembered our servers name because she was top tier!! (We visited 8/22 around 1:45pm and sat in a booth) I got the Zip Smash Burger and seasoned fries and my grandson got the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich with chips. Both were delicious! We also got a Strawberry Lemonade and Watermelon Lemonade and when we didnt finish them, the server gave us fresh ones in small to-go cups. Above and beyond great service, in my opinion. We will certainly be back!

Savvy Sliders - Warren

G B The food came out relatively quick. Got a few sliders and chicken strips. The burger slider was blazing hot. The picture of the burger slider shows a large meat patty when, in reality, its a thin small patty. Fries were hot but too salty with their house seasoning. Everything was hot. We also tried the custard shakes. They were good. Customer service was good. No complaints. The restaurant looked clean. My only complaint was the loud music in the restaurant. Seemed like they were playing a lot of rap and hip hop with inappropriate language. My kid noticed the inappropriate language in the music. Also, the restaurant was very hot. It seemed like the AC was not set low enough to cool the restaurant. The front counter had an electric fan on for the front cash. The prices are a little high in my opinion but the food was pretty good.

Bourbon Street Gumbo and PoBoys - Waterford Township

David Gatti This place is THE SPOT. Writing this review as a cajun/creole food lover, and someone who has been regularly dissapointed by some of the "genuine" places in NOLA, this is a place that gets it right. The shrimp poboy was stuffed, and I mean STUFFED with shrimp, with plenty of fixins, on great bread. These shrimp are big, juicy, perfectly tender, and most important of all SEASONED. The gumbo mixes it up, in the best way. Youve got pretty traditional creole gumbo ingredients, but THE ROUX. This is a dark, cajun roux like only the real ones know. Earthy, herbal, and kicking you in the teeth. And like the poboy they dont skimp on you. Absolutely filled up with delicious sausage and seafood. But let me tell you what youre really here for, and thats this etoufee. Listen...Im sorry I thought Id only want the side order. Itll never happen again. But this etoufee may have just replaced slows mac n cheese as my go-to comfort food. It hits every note. And it hits you different ways. On approach its got this warm, earthy vibe, almost like a really good mushroom risotto. But then you go in and BAM you get the sweet from the seafood and the trinity. Other quick notes. Nothing was greasy; theres no film of seperated fat running everywhere (see pics!). And the ratio of rice to topping was perfect. All in all its fantastic food at great value. Easily enough food for two grown adults for right around $50. Will 100% be back and be telling others.

Savannah A sense of community, sincerity, and contentment is felt throughout the evening. From the moment you walk-in, through every bite you take and sip you enjoy. The owners care and love of sharing a quality meal with others is seen in his smile as he bounces from table to table bringing dish upon dish of delectables. I had the pleasure of dining with my sister here last night and it was the first time in so long that I was able to feel such a sincere atmosphere, and love in a restaurant. Not only through the atmosphere and good-natured staff, but in each carefully crafted, DELICIOUS, dish and cocktail. Truly a special place. The Canadian butter tart was the highlight of the evening for me; the taste was melt-worthy and the owners joy in sharing his heritage was heartwarming.
