Sonyah 11/2/2024 – Booked a reservation for my daughter’s 17th birthday, party of 12. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and the atmosphere was lively and fun. My daughter was blindfolded for the surprise, and the staff helped make it perfect—she was completely shocked in the best way. The food was excellent, and her drink was amazing—she loved it. The staff came out to sing Happy Birthday and brought a beautiful cake with sparklers. It made her feel so special, and the whole moment was unforgettable. Thank you, Sugar Factory, for making this birthday a night to remember. We will definitely be back!

Zak Sikdar The food here is incredible - every single time. My wife and I have been a few times now, tried a bunch of different dishes, and we’re always blown away by how good everything is. The place is spotless inside, and the portions are huge - you definitely get your money’s worth. The staff are super friendly and always make the experience even better. The Brazilian steak with fattoush, truffle fries, and Alfredo pasta is an unbeatable combo. Definitely worth checking out!

John Delacruz Wonderful farm-to-table experience here in Michigan! Staff made sure to make us feel welcomed and were very knowledgeable with their recommendations and wine pairings. Their cocktails are well-crafted! if you have the chance and are open to it, should order "Dealers Choice" and let the bartender whip you up whatever they have in mind. The food was delicious and you can tell the attention to detail of the use of fresh ingredients is top of mind. Their bread service is great and served warm. Loved their steak and pasta dishes as well. Their servings are appropriate and will keep you satisfied, but dont expect to be walking out stuffed beyond belief! Dessert was mouth watering, and although not ont he menu, coffee/espresso are available! Id definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in an elevated, rustic dining experience. Cant wait to try them again throughout the year, as their menu rotated based on seasonality!

David Weiseman Always a great place for a special occasion. Slightly fancy, but not over the top. They had a live musician playing acoustic guitar Christmas music. A great addition to the ambiance of the restaurant. Terrific selection of wines as well as house cocktails. The menu is a blend of French and Italian meals. Always enjoy coming here.

Pacific Rim By Kana - Ann Arbor

Rating: 4.5 /5
Yunong Shi Pacific Rim by Kana offers a warm, polished dining experience with refined pan-Asian flavors and thoughtful service. We ordered a variety of dishes and loved every one of them. The Tuna Tartare with Taro Chips was a crisp, textural starter with a bright, clean flavor. The Unagi Terrine was a standout—served warm over sushi rice with avocado and finished with a bold, green mustard sauce. Rich, smoky, and deeply satisfying—one of the best bites of the night. For mains, both the Japanese-Style Sablefish and the Korean-Marinated Ribeye were excellent. Served over rice, they evoke donburi and bibimbap in elevated, plated form. The sablefish was silky and miso-glazed, while the ribeye was charred and tender, topped with a soft egg that brought everything together. Dessert was just as thoughtful. We had a Pistachio and Mascarpone Crêpe, and a Crème Brûlée Tasting with green tea, key lime, and ginger. The brûlées were distinct and well-balanced. Our server even added a birthday candle—unprompted and kind. Service was quietly exceptional. Our young server (possibly a student) was attentive, sincere, and never pushy. The setting is elegant without being fussy—warm lighting, natural wood tones, and subtle pan-Asian décor make it perfect for a special dinner that doesn’t need to show off. Just quality, quietly done right.
