5 /5 NATURALLY DAY’S EYE: I was very impressed with the atmosphere and then more impressed with the service and food. Food 5, Atmosphere 5, service 5 I couldn’t decide what I wanted so I ordered a combination entree of chicken and fish., a veggie platter with a peach waffle. I was definitely partaking in BIG Back behavior. lol The fish was fried extremely hard. I purchased the veggie platter, which included gumbo greens (no shrimp). This establishment has done really well with their soul food menu! Texture, seasoning and appearance are all 5 and yum

5 /5 Reginald McDonough: A cultural staple a place as a black American I feel safe and at home. Playing old school and new school jams from my culture just makes the food taste that much better. Im traveling from Naples Florida nothing in Naples comes close to the flavors coming from Tys Joint. Steak was fully cooked that melted in my mouth! my childrens steak chicken and shrimp was great! we got great portions. even had enough to share with a coworker and she said she stopped by the next day. waited a lil minute to receive the food but man it was worth it. Tys Joint doesnt serve alcohol but honestly I respect that. keeping our neighborhood sober is wonderful. Ty is a class act very humble kind and straight forward. Ty was a great example to my son to the possibilities for him to achieve great things. the waitresses with the beautiful ponytail and the waitresses with the beautiful blue hair thank you for your awesome customer service and being so kind and beautiful ❤️ this place is a 10/10

1 /5 Brittany Soisson: Came here because of the reviews. Walking in it was freezing. Service was poor. Menu said kids meals come with a juice box but was informed it does not and they dont sell juice boxes. Menu also says entree come with corn bread it also does not. When you ask about this they act like they dont know what your talking about and are unwilling to give you the items you pay for. Wait times are excessive and prices are high for quality and quantity. Will not be back.

5 /5 Monica Sparks: Send Help, I’m in a Soul Food Coma! If joy had a flavor, it would taste like the YAMS from Ty’s Joint! I came in sweet and left even sweeter because let me tell you, the yams were so good I almost proposed. The cornbread? Fluffy enough to use as a pillow (yes, I considered it). And the Kool-Aid? That magical red kind that instantly takes you back to your grandma’s porch in July. But let’s talk desserts because if you’re a sweets kinda girl like me, this place is dangerous. I don’t know if it was the banana pudding milk cake, lemon # cake, cornbread or both, but I’m now emotionally attached. Ty’s Joint is not just food it’s a soul-hug. Run, don’t walk, but maybe wear stretchy pants. Super nice owner and staff, when I am in town I will come back for sure!! Super clean and easy to clean find!
