5 /5 Kevin McKenna: UPDATE!! I stopped in for the Friday Fish Special. You will not find a better fish dinner for $10.00. Three large pieces of fish, fries, Cole slaw, and a roll. Its delicious, on top of all of that! OMG, I had dinner here with my wife and Im furious. Im furious that I have lived by this establishment for years and never eaten at it! Seriously! The Mac n cheese is out of this world! We also had the ribs, which were "fall of the bone" amazing! Three days later I went back and had the beef brisket sandwich. You will not find a better one, period! Not one bite of gristle or fat. My wife is super picky when it comes to meat quality. She didnt have anything left on her plate either time. You will not regret your choice to eat here!! ❤️❤️❤️

4 /5 Tammy G.: Good spot to go to for ribs and bbq when you have that hankering, especially in these Michigan winters when you don’t want to be outside on your grill. We ordered take out, the short ribs could have used a bit more sauce, so we had to add a bit more ourselves from the pantry. Really cute decor inside, will certainly dine-in next time. Overall not bad!

3 /5 Patrick Babcock: The fried pickle chips were crispy on the outside, but the pickle inside was limp and just blah. Batter too thick - that’s pretty much all you taste. The barbecue sauce on the BBQ Chicken tastes too much like the original Open Pit to be anything else. Like backyard barbecue. The batter for the fried chicken is a bit bland. Coleslaw is not anything special, though it is clearly freshly made. The rolls are reminiscent of hot dog buns. The fries were the star of the meal - crispy exterior, good flavor. The waitstaff is friendly, and the place looks nice - very clean! Not a “destination” restaurant by any stretch, but not a place to avoid, either.

3 /5 Gary Connor: This is only second time we tried this carry out rib restaurant. I did not think the customer service was very friendly or accommodating . I ordered in person night before and still waited 20 min when I picked up Sun Oct 26th 2025. Honestly the full slab of ribs were just okay. I evaluate based on will I go back ? No as service not timely or friendly and ribs for’$27 just okay at best. Local Resident of Livonia

5 /5 Madison Gish: The Meats / Additional: I ordered the Open Pit combo which included BBQ Ribs and 1/2 BBQ Chicken, fries, coleslaw and a dinner roll. I also ordered a piece of cornbread. My favorite was the the BBQ chicken, the meat was perfect and the sauce that they put on there was excellent! A must try. I also really enjoyed the cornbread, its sweet and buttery. The ribs were also good but the chicken really took the cake. I would order the same exact thing next time. It was plenty for me, I was able to make 2-3 meals out of it, which is great for the price. The Sauce: Since this is a BBQ place, they have what seems to be their house made BBQ sauce on the table for you. It was a little sweet but mostly tangy. It was good, just not my thing (Im more of a sweet BBQ girl myself) I also got a taste of the buffalo sauce, I would give it a solid 7/10, not bad just nothing to write home about. The Service: This is a small business, so there are not too many workers but everyone I interacted with was so nice and timely. Absolutely no complaints. The dining room / Atmosphere: There is a plenty of seating inside, everything was clean and organized. Overall: I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for good, decently priced BBQ. I will be returning!
