Shlome Rochlitz Casa Cava has the best kosher pizza in Monticello, no question! The pizza is always delicious, the ice cream is amazing, and the service is top-notch. Super friendly staff and a great vibe definitely my favorite spot!

Ambasador Restaurant - Utica

Todd Squilanti Highly recommend this restaurant! Fidel, the owner, and his family run this business and take care of their customers like family as well. Double pork chop in the balsamic sauce was very tasty and the lasagna and the bread are homemade and absolutely delicious. it looks like they built a brand new additional space that will be cool and fun in warmer weather. Enjoy!

Juniors Too - Poughkeepsie

Todd Hermiller For lunch, we had wings for appetizer - they were excellent! Large, meaty and flavorful. My wife and daughter had chicken bacon ranch sandwiches - they were very big (2-3 meals worth of food). Both thought flavor was great. I had gyro - it was so delicious! And service was also top notch! And loved ESPN Ocho on the tv’s!

Shaw-nae’s House - Staten Island

Tiffany Ari Found this spot on TikTok and Google while searching for good soul food in NYC, and it did not disappoint. My friend and I came for dinner and were greeted right away—staff was attentive, warm, and welcoming. Our waitress Jenn was amazing, walked us through the menu, gave great recommendations, and went above and beyond. The restaurant feels cozy and homey, like your aunt or grandma’s house. We ordered rum punch, soul fries with catfish, smothered turkey wings, collard greens, a crispy chicken sandwich, and banana pudding—everything was 10/10. The complimentary cornbread sampler was a great touch. Loved the intimate, uncrowded vibe and even getting to write on the walls. This is officially our new dinner spot—definitely coming back next time we’re in the city.

7th Street Burger Mineola - Mineola

Ray Bolden The restaurant itself has a very open layout, which feels a bit unusual because a lot of the space seems unused. That said, it works in their favor. There’s adequate seating for different group sizes and crowd levels, and what I really appreciated is that I could wait for my food without feeling like I was standing on top of someone or like someone was hovering over me. I ordered the vegan burger and fries. The vegan burger is actually quite tasty and surprisingly close in flavor to a real burger. However, it does have a pretty strong and unpleasant smell; definitely something to be aware of. But if you can get past the smell, the taste makes up for it. If you’ve got a big appetite, I’d recommend going for the double. As for the fries they’re good, but I think the price point is a bit high for the portion size. Would’ve liked a bit more for what I paid.
