Applebees Grill + Bar - (Near Plattsburgh, NY)

4 /5 Hak Bén: Was pretty crowded on a Monday night. I had a long stop during my bus journey and this happened to be the only place nearby. Food was tasty, generous portion of chips but I thought I’d get a larger portion of buffalo chicken dip. I feel like my dish was more like grilled chicken with queso than an actual thick and creamy buffalo dip, but it tasty. Chips were fresh and crunchy. I had the Dracula drink with the extra shot. Total came out to 18 dollars which is a great value, the Dracula drink was on the 6 dollars which special. Service was fine from the hostess and bartender. The guy who actually delivered my food was very friendly. If I have another long stop here coming down from Montreal, I’d visit again. Only had about 40 minutes so I was glad everything came out pretty quick which was great considering how crowded it was.

1 /5 Lahisha Valle: Honestly if i can give this place zero stars i will. Im a New York City Resident on vacation in this area. I walked in and was told to wait 20 minutes. I waited about 30-35 because i guess it was a change of shift. okay. Them i got seated, My waiter was Named Briana. First mistake was she brought our entrees out without even taking the appetizer plates away. Next mistake was that she messed up my Dads order by bringing him mashed potatoes instead of baked potato which he asked for and she repeated the order for. I then learned from another waiter that they were out of baked potatoes. So why didn’t Briana let him know that. Why did she assume that he would want mashed potato.. That was one flaw, she then came & after and asked if he was missing baked potato and if he wanted baked potato but then again never told us they were out of it. After that my moms food had never arrived. She ordered bourbon steak. We asked briana where her food was & she acted really surprised like she never put it in. She went to the computer and then to the kitchen but never came back to update us or apologize to us for that. I then asked another waitress for a manager and they said “sure”. Briana came & asked “what do you need from them?” i said “We’re still waiting for my moms steak” & she said “Oh” & stood to stare at us for 30 seconds and then walked away. No manager ever came. Briana ended up taking the steak off the check and as i was still eating she came and saw me still eating and asked if she can bring the check. not even picking plates up yet. just trying to get paid. 20 minutes later i got up to ask the HOST for a manager. The manager came and told me they were never informed that i needed them. The manager apologized and gave me the check. Overall this was a bad experience with bad service from all employees including the way the manager handled it. This location needs orderly structure to keep running.

5 /5 K Aubin: Awesome bartender!! But caution they have a maximum drink policy even if you have a ride or you are within walking distance to your hotel. Safety first right! The bartender was very apologetic. I just thought it was a great experience with her and enjoyed my stay even though it was limited. I would have stayed longer and limited my 2 beers over a longer period of time..just because of the service. It was awesome including the pecan cake with ice-cream.

2 /5 Michelle Boots: Our waitress Willow was awesome for Applebees. The food was not good at all. I got bits and pieces for french fries. My husband got chicken. Alfredo, that had basically no alfredo sauce. He asked for more. It took over 10 minutes to get it at which time his whole dish is cold. I will not go back to that Applebees

5 /5 Melissa: I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant, creating an enjoyable dining environment. I do wish that the quantities of mashed potatoes and chicken would have been more. However, the service was slower than expected, especially given how quiet it was at that time of day. Despite this minor issue, the overall experience was positive and satisfying.
