4 /5 Ty: I visited Bird Pepper for brunch and had a great experience. We made reservations ahead of time, so we were seated right away with no wait. For appetizers, we tried the crab cakes (you get two) and the coconut shrimp (four jumbo shrimp). Both were enjoyable, though the coconut shrimp was a bit on the oily side.
For drinks, I ordered a frozen rum punch, which came in a generous-sized glass and—especially for a frozen drink—really packed a punch. For my entrée, I had the chicken and pomegranate waffles. The waffles had a nice flavor, and the chicken was good as well, though I personally could’ve used just a bit more salt. The rest of my group said they enjoyed their dishes too.
I believe the restaurant has a downstairs area, though I didn’t get a chance to check it out. There’s also a bar at the front if you just want to stop in for a drink. Also, there’s only one bathroom on the main floor which can make wait time for the bathroom kinda long.
Overall, Bird Pepper is a nice spot to visit for brunch or dinner.
