3 /5 Norb S: We came here for Sunday brunch at noon. Although we had a reservation, the restaurant wasn’t very busy. We were greeted promptly by the hostess, and the atmosphere was modern and nicely updated.
Our waiter was attentive, and the rest of the staff also made sure we were well taken care of. The food arrived fairly quickly, and while the quality was good, nothing really stood out as exceptional in terms of flavor. Portion sizes were generally ok.
Prices, however, felt higher than expected for both the setting and the dishes we ordered. The crab Benedict, for example, had a very small crab cake—essentially one patty split between two eggs. The tuna was cooked properly and had good flavor, and the teriyaki salmon was also quite good.
We ordered a few drinks, which were just okay. Like many places, they add a surcharge for non-cash payments, but they also suggest tips based on the total after tax and fees, which feels a bit out of place for a restaurant aiming for an upscale experience.
Overall, the food was good and service attentive, but the value didn’t quite match the high prices.
