Melissa Fergusson Hound and Mare is a coffee shop with a nice ambiance and a rustic/urban warehouse feel off the downtown commons in Ithaca. I’ve been looking for a coffee shop with great breakfast food in Ithaca, and this place definitely fits the bill. If you’re looking for something a bit more gourmet, but still in a relaxed environment this is the place to go. There are plenty of food and drink options to choose from which are creative. It was also nice to hear Adele playing in the shop, one of my favorite artists! I got a lavender latte (which was flavored just right - not pictured but delicious) and the breakfast burrito. It comes with homemade salsa that has the right balance of acidity and kick. It was also a very generous portion size. My husband got the Maple Latte, iced, and the Melrose sandwich which is a bagel sandwich with bacon, fried egg, cheese crisp (which is really good), and he added roasted tomatoes. Definitely a tasty bagel sandwich! We also tried a couple of the pastries which were also well done - the scallion cheddar scone and the pumpkin cream cheese muffin which wasn’t too sweet. Would definitely come again!

Jason Rivers Great experience! The layout of the restaurant was cool. They have friendly staff and you can see everyone making the food! The menu was expansive and the food was delicious. I endulged in the short rib ravioli with mushrooms and ooooooweeee it was on point! The business seems more geared around takeout but overall this is a local cant miss spot.

Maria Z Fresh halal pizza and gyro. I think I’m doing injustice by just typing that out but their pizza was outclass. Definitely the best NY style pizza I’ve had in NY state. If you’re in Ithaca and looking for a halal meal this is your go to place. don’t even think about visiting any other. Generous portions and decent prices. Definitely worth trying.

Michael LaBarbera Was there prior to a show at the landmark with our group and had a wonderful experience! Staff was energetic and fun, the restaurant is lovely inside, cozy and clean atmosphere. The food and drinks were delicious all around and I was very impressed with portion size to price. The Reuben fritters and wings were the stars of our lunch show. Highly recommend going if you havent and continue going if youve already been. Maybe Ill see you there, Enjoy!!

Organic World Club Excellent farm-to-table option for visitors and locals. Great healthy selections of options for every taste. The toasted bread that the savory board and the mussels came with was delicious - lucky I wasn’t on a gluten-free spree (that said, we were offered gluten-free alternatives). The savory board was delicious - unique spreads (or at least less common) and very delicious. The grass-fed burger was outstanding - flavorful juicy deliciousness worth the trip. The side of blue potatoes was a lovely addition. The strong flavor of those potatoes was balanced by the sauce they had on them. There were many enticing food options worth returning for.
