5 /5 Kedar Gaitonde: Dhamaka was one Indian restaurant we decided to try on our trip to NYC & it certainly did not disappoint. The staff is warm & welcoming, the suggestions made by them were bang on. We tried “Paneer Tikka”, “Macchi Hara Masala” & the “Malai Murgh”. All 3 dishes were delicious.
The Paneer Tikka was hands down the best dish and best paneer we have had so far, it was so soft that it was melting in our mouth, it’s a must try.
The Macchi was cooked to perfection and the Hara masala marinade was very flavorful.(mind the bones)
The Murgh was roasted with perfect char on the outside and tender juicy chicken inside, the decadent malai gravy was later poured on top of murgh at our table.
Overall we felt that Dhamaka was a great experience with authentic bold flavors and each dish cooked to perfection.
