Taco Bell / KFC - Norwich

Rating: 3.1 /5
Charles Olcott Perhaps its just my horrible luck, but every time I think that ok, maybe THIS time... Nope. Taco Bell dishes have been made incorrectly nearly every time Ive been in the the last few years, or order missing items. The chicken side is a nightmare. The latest time I went, they were parking cars after paying, presumably because they were out of food, and after fifteen minutes, someone came out to tell me that they shouldve told me before, but they had no chicken ready, and were just now putting in more and its gonna be another fifteen. Yes, this is a KFC place that, the last four times through, had no chicken. One time I was told they literally had none and wouldnt for a while because they only had one person "who can make it" and they were on lunch. I believe it was explained that it was to guarantee a fresh experience but no one has ever gone to a KFC expecting there to, in fact, be no chicken. The recent redesign I had hoped might help, but no. And the interior is worse now, with very small tables and what feels like much less overall seating spaces. Again, maybe its my luck is just that cursed at this particular location, but the last half dozen times Ive decided to tempt fate, Ive lost. May the odds be ever in YOUR favor.

Tuccis Family Diner - Waterloo

Rating: 4.7 /5
Britt Snider Today was my first time visiting Geneva, NY (work trip) and I stopped into Tuccis for brunch. Im very glad I did. The place is comfortable, quiet, has good music, and excellent menu choices. The absolute best thing was the food!! Phenomenal ❤️. I got the country benny, which is a half order of biscuits and gravy with over medium eggs and beef hash, with a side of bacon and a coffee. Every bite was delightful. The biscuits were crisp on the bottom, the hash complimented the gravy to perfection. The coffee was really good; Ive had some crap diner coffee before, but not at Tuccis. Best of all was the kindness and attentiveness of the "staff", which was the owner Nick and his brother. Nick was serving and recommended a few options, one of which was the country benny. Im glad I didnt just go with a stack of pancakes because, oh boy, that was good. Nicks brother is the chef, and came out of the kitchen to chat when it was a bit slow. Honestly, I have no idea why it was slow, because I love everything about this place and more people should be eating there. I also recommend their deserts. Nick gave me a free slice of lemon cake before I headed out. It had just the lightest touch of lemon, very subtle, and soft cake with frosting that wasnt overly sweet. Ill definitely be coming back the next time Im in town.

Janelle Campbell This is just the best little place right in our own "backyard"! Stopped this morning for breakfast before we did some errands. Good home-cooking and piping hot too. Everything delicious......great home fries and dont pass up the biscuits & gravy.

Seabass Taverna - Staten Island

Rating: 4.8 /5
anthony crescenzi Out in plain sight is a hidden gem: Seabass Taverna. There you will feast on a wide variety of Mediterranean fare in a veritable smorgasbord that will leave you sated and satisfied. The abundance of food may well surprise you. The feast is found in the family style meal, and it’s a tremendous value, especially these days. Arrive hungry to savor each morsel, and there will be many. The dishes arrive successively, and both the timing and the chef’s selections are just right. You needn’t do much thinking — let the chef do that for you, though you can ask for substitutes where desired (I am allergic to shrimp and swapped that for more of the hearty Greek salad). You choose your fish, and I’ve found the branzino perfect every time, hot, seasoned, not too thick. For dessert, you have your pick. My wife and I have leaned into the cheesecake and strawberry crème brûlée, though we probably should try some of the appealing Mediterranean selections on the menu, too. The staff is lovely, quite attentive and welcoming, aiming to create a delectable dining experience from the moment you arrive. Their effort is a resounding success.
