Jean Marshall It has been quite a while since I have been here due to health problems but I saw enjoy the lovely with ladies that run this little restaurant I had my son with me today whos in his 40s he never been there before and he enjoyed it as much as I did when I walked in there say hello stranger and they wonder where Ive been and I told him because of medical things I hadnt been around and she goes is everything okay now everythings going good now. They are so thoughtful and they let you take their time figuring out what you want to eat and they give you a great serving of whatever youre getting today we had subs and french fries and Pepsi. I just love going there because they are so wonderful and I always leave a good tip because they are such wonderful ladies. I hope they continue to run it for a long time. I strongly recommend going there it is a wonderful place to be to eat.

Brookside Market Cafe & Bistro - Sunnyside

Rating: 4.4 /5
Puppy Kitty NYC The new bistro at Brookside Market is an absolute gem — especially at night. The atmosphere is cozy, charming, and full of character, all thanks to the fact that it’s family-owned and operated. You can really feel the heart behind it. Let’s talk about the food — it’s nothing short of incredible. I had some of the best oysters I’ve ever tasted (truly fresh and perfectly prepared), and my go-to entrées are the lemon pasta and the chicken — both are beautifully balanced and full of flavor. The wine selection is all-natural, thoughtfully curated, and absolutely delicious, pairing perfectly with every dish. Another thing I love: they offer a “round up” option at checkout to support their favorite animal rescue, which makes dining here feel even more meaningful. In short, this is the cutest place ever, with amazing food, great wine, and a beautiful mission. A must-visit for a special night out.

Tom Gasparini My wife and I had dinner there last night for our four year wedding anniversary. It was our first time eating there and will most definitely be back! Nikki was our server and she went above and beyond to make sure our experience was top notch. She did an amazing job and was very attentive always ensuring to check on us. The food was delicious and amazing and Nikki made the experience an excellent evening and made our evening out which stood out as one which was truly far beyond and better than service you typically experience anywhere else! Highly recommend both the restaurant and the waitress Thank You so much!

Theodora - Brooklyn

Rating: 4.6 /5
Martin Smallhorne Date night perfection at Theodora, Brooklyn. From the moment my beautiful wife and I sat down, the experience felt intentional, warm, and effortlessly refined. We started with the sourdough paired with whipped ricotta, brown butter, and sage—simple in concept, yet deeply comforting and layered with flavor. The Za’Atar Kubaneh with schug, tomato aioli, and harissa was bold, aromatic, and soulful—every bite telling a story. The wood-fired greens (bok choy, spring radish, pea purée, anchovy, smoked balsamic) were beautifully balanced—earthy, bright, and unforgettable. Then came the main event: the whole bone-in branzino—not just delicious, but transcendent. Perfectly cooked, infused with rosemary and salmoriglio, accompanied by a vibrant market salad. A dish that commands silence at the table and earns genuine appreciation with every bite. A special shoutout to Pablo, our guidance rockstar of the evening. Chill, knowledgeable, attentive without hovering—he made the entire experience feel organic and effortless. Truly top-tier service. Every detail was smooth. Every interaction thoughtful. The entire staff moved with purpose and care. Absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Lakeside Resort & 3812 Bistro - Watkins Glen

Rating: 4.7 /5
Maya Reyes Bellavia This was the perfect spot for a mini winter getaway. The view of the lake from the cabin with the hills covered in snow was spectacular. Yes the region is much quieter in the winter but that creates a unique charm. I was wowed by the cleanliness and spaciousness of the cabin. Despite being right off of the highway, I found the area very quiet and peaceful. It was very simple in a zen-like way, and cozy. Two minor suggestions: the soap dispenser in the shower could be closer to the actual shower area, and smart tv would be a nice replacement for cable tv - I would’ve loved to put on a fireplace stream from YouTube to enhance the winter coziness! As for the bistro, I was sincerely impressed by the quality of the food. The burger and breakfast burritos are particularly delicious! The hours are accommodating. Also, nice wine by the glass list with local options :) As for the location - it’s very convenient to Watkins glen (but be aware many places are closed in the winter) and close to other cute towns like Geneva and Hammondsport, as well as proximate to the best winery in the area. Major bonus is the gorgeous trails on the resort property. I can’t wait to come back with my dog!
