5 /5 Rob Walton: Such a cozy place! Great for a date night or a casual bite. We observed people dressed up and also people dining in shorts/T-shirts, so its an inviting atmosphere for everyone.
The servers were all professionally attired and courteous and seemed to be having a great time.
We ordered the appetizer platter and it didnt disappoint. Egg rolls, onion strings, chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, and homemade sauces. The bread service was obviously fresh, baked in house, and the bruschetta oil was a unique, delicious accoutrement for the bread.
We ordered the triple fajitas and the seared scallops with mushroom risotto.
The fajitas came sizzling hot with fresh flour tortillas and a large portion of beans, rice, and toppings. The risotto had perfect allonda texture and was unctuous and cheesy, but not over seasoned. The scallops were just slightly overcooked and chewy, but the rest of the dish was fantastic.
For dessert we ordered the profiteroles, an espresso martini, and an Americano. The dessert was huge! And the waitress poured over their signature house made chocolate sauce, which was warm and thick, adding a contrasting texture and temperature to the soft cream puffs with cold ice cream.
The rock candy stick served alongside the coffee was the cutest touch.
This was our first visit to the restaurant but definitely wont be our last. I think all visitors to the Poughkeepsie/ Wappingers area should check it out when coming through!
