3 /5 Julie: I believe this place is really trying but is falling short of its potential. Congers desperately needs a cool bar that has a great atmosphere and great drinks. I would think that Congers is ready for a bar that does not have a huge, glaring TV behind it that is showing some sport or another.
This place is cute and the bar is Beautiful- shiny and super clean. The drinks are very good- the bartender was nice and she knew her stuff. The lighting is good, the music is way too loud and the playlist is catering to older GenZ who like bands like Journey. Basically, it is the same as any other bar in the Congers/New City area. When this place opened, I was really hoping for something different. Alas, it is a carbon copy right down to the LED light strips in bright blue that dont match any other color or vibe in the room. Just a few changes like a better music selection that is played at a lower volume, 86 the LED lights and the TV and we would have a casually classy place that stands out from every other bar in town.
The menu looked intriguing but I didnt try it. The manager (owner?) is very nice and seems on the sweet side. Its worth a try especially if you frequent and enjoy other bars around here but just need something closer to home.
