Level Restaurant & Bar - Brooklyn

Rating: 4.4 /5
Brian Celestine Visiting from Boston, I had no idea what to expect when some friends invited me to this restaurant—but it turned out to be an amazing surprise! The food was outstanding: the octopus, wagyu beef, lamb chops, and à la carte fries and mashed potatoes were all cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The highlight of the evening was the unexpected cabaret show, featuring multiple themed performances. Who knew Brooklyn could deliver such top-tier, off-Broadway-style entertainment? I enjoyed it so much that I’m already planning to return next Halloween. And I can’t forget to mention the *fire desserts*—they were the perfect ending to a phenomenal night. The staff were warm and friendly, and by the end of the evening, the whole restaurant was up dancing to the DJ’s fantastic music.

The Storyteller - Hyde Park

Rating: 4.5 /5
Greg Lange We had an outstanding experience at The Storyteller. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, but what really made the night special were the people. Hugo and Sebastian were great conversationalist that made the evening truly enjoyable. Hugo, the bartender, crafted some truly exceptional cocktails—easily some of the best we’ve had in any hotel restaurant. Sebastian was equally impressive: personable, attentive, and sharp. The menu was a very pleasant surprise—creative, flavorful, and far above what you’d expect from a hotel dining spot. We had the scallops and sweet/spicy chicken sandwich. We followed Hugo’s recommendations on drinks and dinner and everything was top notch. Highly recommend stopping in whether you’re staying at the hotel or just looking for great drinks, great food, and great service.

Doug Meadows at David Douglas We did the tour. It was amazing. Tom was a great tour guide

Brickolini’s Pizza & Pasta - Goshen

Rating: 2.8 /5
Marshall This was a great way to take a break mid day at the park and sit and eat and drink. The pizza was decent and the salad options werent bad either. It was nice to have lots of choices on the coke freestyle and the multiple choices for dessert as well. Recommend meatballs! The current deal to feed a family of four is pretty generous; even better if you can get the 10-20% off with season pass.

Ikraam Aslam First of all, this place is halal-friendly, which was a huge plus. They have both hot pot and Korean BBQ, and the menu is very well thought out with icons showing what is halal and what is not. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything was well-marinated, fresh, and delicious, from the poultry and seafood to the beef and lamb. Even the starters like rangoons and dumplings were so good that I ordered them several times. You get a 2-hour dining window, but around 1.5 to 1.75 hours in they’ll kindly let you know to start wrapping up, which honestly makes sense since by then you’re full and winding down. Service was outstanding. A big shoutout to Dylan, who was our main waiter. He was attentive, clear in communication, and incredibly fast. Anytime we placed an order through the iPad, the food came out almost immediately. Dylan and the rest of the staff were also quick to swap out our grills to keep everything clean and safe, which made the whole experience even better. Dessert deserves its own highlight: the crème brûlée was so good that I personally had about 10 of them, no joke, and the group went through nearly all of them. The ice cream options (taro, chocolate, vanilla, and cream) were also excellent. The overall experience of cooking the food yourself, enjoying high-quality meats, and having such attentive service made it one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. My tip: focus on the proteins and don’t fill up on carbs so you can really maximize the unlimited option. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great halal-friendly hot pot and BBQ experience. Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing atmosphere.

The Pancake Truck by the Penn Yan Diner - Himrod

Rating: 5 /5
Rachael Van Tassel The person taking my order was helpful in identifying gluten free options, and then helpful choosing from all of them. I ordered the dill pickle grilled cheese on gf bread, though it was a hard choice between that and gf pancakes. They can also make the grilled cheese vegan. Sandwich was delicious and I finished it off with a lovely slice of gf rhubarb pie! The wait was a little long, but I didn’t mind browsing around Vineyard View winery until my buzzer went off. Nice picnic tables to sit on outside overlooking the lake.
