1 /5 The Almighty One: Not worth it at all. Truly not sure how the reviews are so high. Yes there is variety, but most of the food is either hard, cold, or just off tasting. The majority of the meat is tough and difficult to eat. The desserts are stale and dry. Food is frequently cold or underseasoned or vastly overcooked from sitting so long.
Other than the man at the counter (who generally seems displeased with everyone/everything), the staff is not overtly rude by any means, but mostly leave you to yourself which I have no issue with as it’s a buffet. You pay at the counter and are seated. Waitresses are friendly and get your drinks then leave you be unless picking up plates or asking if you need a refill. About $20 per person depending on the time, but nothing there is worth $20 at the buffet. Bathrooms are uncomfortable and dirty, dimly lit, and generally not well kept.
I have never had any issue with the staff but the food is borderline inedible and I’ve felt sick after eating it on an unfortunate amount of visits. Auburn has plenty of Chinese spots, all of them significantly better and fresher for about the same prices.
It depends on who works there—I believe it was formerly run by another family and the quality was leagues better, but right now it is absolutely not worth going. Save your money and your stomach and go to any other Chinese restaurant.
