TURQUOISE MEDITERRANEAN FOOD & SWEETS - Elmira

Rating: 4.9 /5
Sarah Hart I am so happy that I stumbled upon Turquoise! The food is amazing and the service is even better. The establishment is owned and operated by a lovely family. We felt very welcome as soon as we arrived. I would recommend the gyro, baklava, and pide (if they have it). Everything we had was homemade and wonderful tasting. They also have Turkish delights and other packaged sweets that were great to have later. We will be back again!

Sand Bar - Canandaigua

Rating: 3.8 /5
Donald B We ordered the lobster roll and Santa Fe Tacos. Both were excellent. Service is great. The view of the lake from the outdoor seating area is second to none. My only beef with Sand Bar is that I feel the management should rethink the apparent requirement that the female wait staff wear unbelievably short skirts for work. Just in their course of duty working around us I saw much more than I wanted. My standard is that if I had a daughter working there would I want her wearing those skirts? My answer is that no I wouldn’t. The male staff are not required to bare their undergarments. How is that fair?

The Village Restaurant - Canajoharie

Rating: 4.5 /5
Nathan Book Had brought a pre-arranged bus group to the restaurant for breakfast. Handled the group very well. A regular customer assisted with making coffee and serving drinks, just did it to help out. You are doing something right to have your regular customers step up to help out. Would definitely return.

On the Fly Diner - Syracuse

Rating: 4.9 /5
Michael Passalacqua First time at On The Fly, and oh man it did not disappoint! Super friendly and welcoming staff right from when we walked thru the door, with minimal wait time and exactly enough "check-ins" during our meal, always keeping the coffee mugs full. But the main event has to be the food - absolute flavor bombs. We got the eggs benedict and shrimp & grits, plus the cajun style french toast to share. The flavors all around were incredible - the lemon hollandaise may have been the best weve ever had, those potatoes were crispy on the outside and seasoned perfectly, and the unique shrimp and grits concept (with it being more of a grit cake) was excellent. Oh and the giant french toast - delectable. Loved the raspberry sauce and homemade whipped cream served alongside. Couldnt get into more than a few bites of that but happily enjoyed it over the course of the next day as a leftover treat! We cant wait to come back to On The Fly to explore more of the menu!
