Stone Soup American Bistro - (Near Herkimer, NY)

Joanne Dorazio-Thier We were staying in Ithaca overnight and looking for a restaurant to have dinner at. We took a walk around the main town and came across Creola Southern Steakhouse. Our server Christopher was great. He was very attentive and professional. We ordered the Brisket burnt ends nacho skillet and the chicken and waffles. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was beautiful. We would definitely come back if we were in town again.

Scott Pickett Grandson had his 2nd birthday party here today and it went great with absolutely no issues! Pizza was great and all the kids had a great time! Perfect place for skids party. Definitely recommend for party’s and adult get togethers.

Mary Speed Scratch Kitchen is fantastic. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care using quality ingredients. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. A great spot that we will definitely be returning to! Pictured Soup of the day, BBQ pulled pork chimichanga, French dip!

Matt Stopani This place earns its 5 Stars. Burgers were excellent (had the double with cheese), fries were really good and the sleeper macaroni salad with brown gravy was surprisingly delicious. The brown gravy was also excellent to dip the fries in. Pricing was great. Cafe area is nice enough and bathroom was clean. (I’m sure it’ll get a little touch up and face lift when they get a chance). Wish they had a soda machine, but not enough to take off a star. Will definitely come back next time I’m in town.

Nikki Thrasher My family and I had a wonderful dinner here! Each meal of 4 came from the kitchen fresh and hot and absolutely delicious, everyone was so pleased with the taste/quality/and amount of food!! Would love to come back! Recommendations from our family consist of the Grilled Salmon, Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken,Oriental Orange Sesame chicken and stir fry, and the Asian Osso Buco. So good!

SEH First time trying this place, Riverhead definitely needed a new bagel/breakfast spot. Everything was almost perfect. I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese on an egg bagel. It was perfect, delicious and exactly what I ordered. Really good. I got a small cup of coffee which was included with my sandwich- awesome. They have a great variety of everything, not just breakfast but lunch items too. The only semi-negative part of my experience was that when I first walked in I was ignored for a few minutes. No one greeted me, or even made eye contact. A simple, “I’ll be with you in a moment” would’ve been great and made a better first impression. There was one person ordering ahead of me, but otherwise it wasn’t insanely busy. It won’t deter me from trying them again, but just a suggestion to at the very least acknowledge your customers existence (even if busy) when they’re waiting to order, because I was half tempted to just leave. They’re new so I’m sure the kinks will be worked out. When I did interact with the employees they were all very nice. OTHERWISE it was a good experience. And I’d recommend them.
