Dave M Our plane back to NY was delayed so we cancelled our reservation and ended up at Balthazar at 11p on a Wednesday. The dining was lively and mostly full when we arrived. We were seated I a 2 top, corner booth that was perfect, and very comfortable. I ordered a gin martini that was served ice cold. My wife and I split the endive salad (I love the pickled pears), a cheeseburger with fries delicious), haricot vert (perfectly cooked and so fresh) and a caramelized and bruleed banana tart (gorgeous and excellent). When we left, well after midnight, the bar was still crowded with patrons enjoying themselves and bartenders who weren’t trying to rush them. What a nice and fun night! Thanks Keith. Also, I really enjoyed your book.

Deborah Sarmir We have been to La Canard on several occasions, and we have never been disappointed. The drinks are absolutely scrumptious! If youve ever wondered what a well made martini tastes like, this is a terrific place to try one. I highly recommend the Vesper Martini...3 parts gin to 1 part vodka with Lillet and lemon garnish! For MYE, we went here for a late night gourmet meal. I started with an incredible thick and flavorful lobster bisque (taking a break from one of my favorites there...the French onion soup!) My entree was the braised lamb shank with roasted tomato in a port raisin sauce. My fiancee started with an Arugula salad and a delicious special that consisted of scallops over spinach. Every bite was delicious!! It literally felt as if we were back eating in a high end restaurant in Paris...in fact this was even better than some of the meals we had there. Our waitress was also fantastic. Highly attentive and funny! So if youre in the mood for a bit of delicious French cuisine right here in Hudson Valley, I highly recommend giving Le Canard a try.

Amandip Kaur I came here for my birthday brunch with friends and had the best experience ! Staff was very kind and service was excellent. All the dishes were very tasty and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and very good quality (they use seasonal produce from their farm). I took the biscuit & poached eggs and French toast: each dish was flavorful and well balanced. They also had freshly squeezed orange juice so 10 / 10 for me. Thank you for the hospitality; will be back for dinner soon :)

Patricia Mosca This was my first visit to the marina several weeks ago and I was very impressed. The floor to ceiling windows offer an incredible view of the marina from everywhere in the restaurant and gives the place a feeling of serenity. Some of the food I tried would rival some of the best Manhattan steakhouse and seafood restaurants. The food was perfectly prepared and plated beautifully The seafood tower as an appetizer was very impressive with right off the boat fresh tasting clams, oysters, very large shrimp and lobster. The tuna tartare had a very unique and delicious sauce and was mounded on an absolutely delicious fried disk. My other two stand out appetizers were the seafood salad and, a surprise, what they call an Italian eggroll With really delicious Italian red sauce. If you are a lobster bisque lover this lobster bisque was to die for. The Châteaubriand was cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare with house made barbecue sauce and Demi glace which were both excellent with a roasted garlic bulb creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. The very fresh angry red snapper came on top of broccoli rabe and was topped with very fresh premium crab meat. The best part of this dish for me was the ring of gnocchi around the fish that were like little pillows of softness. The variety of desserts are homemade and all were delicious. If you happen to be there on a nice day and the tiki bar is still open, it is definitely worth sitting out there for a cocktail and a dessert and coffee. I can’t wait to go back there in several weeks for my birthday.

Jordan Gallagher The owner is the nicest lady, waited us on personally. The filet is amazing id take a picture of my plate but I already cleared it. You can tell the chef takes pride in his work and he served us himself, made sure we were all squared away and everything was good. The entire establishment makes sure to go above and beyond, I think I’ve only ever left no more than 5 reviews in my life and I made it a point to leave a review because i haven’t had a genuine experience where you can tell everyone cares in a long time. The owner is the sweetest lady and took fantastic care of us 10/10 recommend

Steven Nechamkin The restaurant is located in the Howard Beach section of Queens. They prepare Italian cuisine. Soups, salads, pastas, entrees, pizzas, desserts and beverages are available. We ordered the baked clams oreganata and fried calamari appetizers. The margherita pizza was prepared in an on site wood-burning oven. The filet of sole oreganata and linguine bolognese were selected as entrees. The food was excellent and very well-prepared. The pizza was freshly made and tasty. Very friendly and helpful staff.
