Tanma Ramen Tavern – The Healthiest Noodles - (Near Kingston, NY)

GormanBechard Vegetarians rejoice! Where do I start? How about with the best damn sandwich Ive had in years. This place was recommended to us, as my wife and I are vegetarians. I ordered the Fontina Panino (vegan sausage, fontina cheese, arugula and fennel mustard on ciabatta) and a cortado to drink. We take out seat in the very cool back room, and only after 5 or so minutes the drink and food arrives. Now I am a complete foodie, really tough on everything I eat, but after one bite I was in love. To the point where I asked Lauren, the owner, what mustard they were using, and then ordered a panini press when I got home hoping to recreate the magic. Perfectly chewy bread, just the right balance of sweet and savory, and that mustard. Truly amazing. My wife ordered the avocado toast which she said was perfection. I wish I could bundle this place up and ship it to New Haven because Id be eating one of those sandwiches every week. As for everything else: The service was great. The atmosphere laid back and funky. Everything was reasonable priced. LOVE LOVE LOVE Cafe Joust!

Lizz Marcello I absolutely love the way I get greeted here. Everyone is very nice, the prices are just right. If you’re a local and suggest certain things, they will bring it into the store. They have really good food here as well!

Jordan Mathews The music was amazing, provided by CNY Jazz. Performing was jazz Trio with singer Joanna Jewett. The staff was very kind. The hotel is gorgeous. I had an old fashion and a Guinness. I hope they keep live music here.

Javier Kohen Great food, a nice modern ambiance, but also very busy and loud. On a Friday evening the staff was working so hard, it was unbelievable. The hottie cutie pizza (margherita with prosciutto) was great, chewy and fresh, and the pumpkin gnocchi were decadent and filling. For brunch I tried the pesto pasta and it was delicious.

Steven Cohen Absolutely delightful bistro in the heart of beautiful Ellicottville. Excellent food, all fresh ingredients. Service with a smile. Properly spaced seating so people are not on top of one another. Great breakfast sandwich! I’ll be back!

Kate Kosche Loved it! Food was excellent as were the cocktails. Server was great. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Nice setting and for an early-ish reservation at 6 it wasnt too loud and we could talk. The bay leaf ice cream dessert with a splash of Tokay over it was amazing as was the mascarpone.
