The Black Sheep Ale House - (Near Mineola, NY)

JA The atmosphere is pure English pub right down to the low ceilings. Winston scowling down from above the fireplace. I had delicious fish and chips with malt vinegar. The waitress was possibly the most attentive Ive ever had . Not overly intrusive but obviously observant of her tables and ready to fulfill any requests in a timely fashion and with a genuine and friendly smile. I ordered a sausage roll for later (pictured) the flaky pastry was sublime and the sausage just the right flavors that I remembered from my childhood cookery classes in my secondary modern 3rd year. A wonderful experience. Will definitely be back again. Maybe try the Kedgeree next

Elena Yee I’ve been wanting to come her for awhile and was finally able to. As much as I was tempted to have a beef burger, I decided to order their veggie burger, and I’m glad I did. It was hearty while also more creamy than crunchy (which I prefer). Some people may think it’s mushy but it worked for me, and the flavor was wonderfully savory. The sweet potatoes wedges were not what I expected at all. They were crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. These were definitely wedges and not fries. I couldn’t even finish them because it was such a generous portion. The interior was fine but because of the set up, it felt strangely cold not cozy. No matter…I was there for the food and it was good!

Christina Gómez This restaurant was a delight. Full of locals, the vibe was cozy and welcoming. The staff were kind and helpful - I am vegan, and while there is nothing listed on the menu, our waitress and the kitchen staff took care to offer a vegan dish, comprised of gluten free pasta (all other pastas contain egg), veggies, garlic, and olive oil. Simple but absolutely delicious. In fact, I knew it was going to be good based solely on the complimentary breadsticks, and the order of bruschetta that we enjoyed. Yes, its carb-heavy. But everything was so good, fresh, and clearly scratch-made. My husband ordered the shrimp scampi, which he noted was also delicious and authentic. The negronis we drank were perfect as well.

Joan Salandy We came on a quiet Saturday afternoon. The guy took his time to explain what was in the food. He wasn’t pushy but very informative. The food was fresh, hot and served to our table. Loved it. And I’m a picky eater. I would recommend to try it at least once. Peace and blessings all.

Steven Spadaccini This is high level diner food. Had the bistro burger which was absolutely delicious and a delicious strong cup of coffee. Friendly atmosphere and attentive service. Can’t wait to go back and try more menu items.

Odaliz Vasquez We did the Tapas with drinks this time. But everything Ive had each time I visit is delicious! Very clean place, friendly and accommodating staff. I was feeling the last lingering symptoms of my latest vertigo episode and my friends were having drinks. The server recommended a mocktail and it was delicious!
