The River Road House - (Near Schenectady, NY)

5 /5 Joseph Stacey: Reservations recommended but they accommodated our group of 4. They have an outside area and a smaller inner seating area. The service was fast. We had our appetizer very quickly. Drinks and refills were also fast. Our meals took nearly 40 minutes but everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The pulled pork was highly rated as were the onion rings and the burger. The clam fry was good. The eggplant Parm looked fantastic but it was a bit on the soft side for my taste. Some of the specials and dessy sounded really good. I would definitely return and try some other options. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes.

5 /5 Vanessa Lerch: We were a large group, 13 of us including 5 kids. They had tables for us all to sit together. There was a bit of a wait for our meals, but we were told that before we ordered, due to our party size and they have just 1 cook. We got appetizers to hold us over. It was worth the wait. Fresh and homemade! Every order was correct and delicious.

5 /5 Kate: The turkey sandwich was awesome. Roasted in house. It was huge. Sandwiches not greasy too which is nice. The fries were amazing. Great prices and portions. I think the only thing is that it did take just a little long for the food to come out. I think they don’t have a lot of people in the kitchen. But very good!

5 /5 Adam Corrigan: We stopped by River Road House last night and were really impressed! We started with a couple of appetizers — the fried pickles and the Junction fries — and both were excellent. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and great for sharing. For our mains, my girlfriend had the Roadhouse Burger and I went with the classic cheeseburger. Both were cooked just right — juicy, tender, and full of flavor. You can tell they use quality meat, and everything tasted fresh. We also had the pleasure of meeting Kelly, the owner, who was super friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was exactly what youd want from a traditional American pub — cozy decor, laid-back vibe, and lots of space. It’s conveniently located right off the road and has plenty of parking, which is always a bonus. If youre in the area and craving a solid meal in a relaxed setting, I’d definitely recommend stopping in. We’ll be back!

5 /5 Vikki Holding: Outstanding! In all areas. Our server was amazing, such a lovely person, Im gutted I cant remember her name. Food was immense, huge portions but also great quality food. In fact, we took away what we didnt eat and had it the following day, which I rarely do. The wings were incredible, and the pizza was the best pizza Ive ever eaten. Our cards wouldnt work at first due to being UK cards, but our server was super patient and we eventually managed to pay!
