The Sherwood Inn - (Near Skaneateles, NY)

5 /5 Joe Irwin: The restaurant is a perfect winter tradition, with cozy woods burning fireside tables, classic comfort foods (pot roast was incredible) and a unique ambiance that feels like youre stepping back in time. We come every year, and each time they do a great job. The service is always great, we had Sarah as our server this time, and the food is equally as good. We even met the owner this time. You can certainly tell why this establishment runs so well by having a conversation with him. Cant wait to go back!

5 /5 Les Lusk: When in Skaneateles, this is my go-to restaurant. With almost a century of experience, they serve great meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I recently had a blueberry bacon hamburger that was downright yummy. For a special treat, visit during the winter when the Dickens Christmas festival is happening; you can see characters from classic Dickens novels walking the streets outside while you eat.

5 /5 Kevin Curtis: Tavern menu to highest quality fare. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner at this landmark in 1976 and it remains a wonderful place for events, great meals and happy memories. Located in the heart of Skaneateles. Easy to walk the village and parking out back.

2 /5 Dean O: Driving through the town and decided to stop for Dinner at the restaurant.. the view was nice over looking the lake.. staff was friendly.. food LOOKED good, how ever when you order a medium rare steak at $44 from what supposedly is a high end restaurant... You shouldnt have to send it back to be cooked from being RARE AND COLD. But hey they didnt charge for my one cup of coffee. Nice drive to take but pick a different spot to eat at.

1 /5 Matt: This restaurant unfortunately does not deserve a higher rating based on our experience. From the moment we walked in, it was unclear how customers were expected to be seated or served. The staff instructed us to seat ourselves, yet every available table was dirty. After finally having a table cleaned, we were left without menus or acknowledgment for the next 10 minutes. During that time, staff members—particularly an older blonde woman—continued to pour coffee and assist other tables while completely ignoring us. The interaction came across as rude and unwelcoming. It was a disappointing and frustrating way to start the new year, especially for a breakfast visit that should have felt warm and inviting. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place.
