1 /5 Steven J: ***Customers allowed to cook-Friends of owner. ***
Stopped here for breakfast the morning of Sunday 28Sept25. We stopped by after staying overnight in the south Seneca Lake area. The place was staffed with one under motivated waitress, I think the owners daughter.
After several minutes we were able to get coffee in a couple of 8oz cups. Good luck getting a refill, I had to speak up to catch the eye of the waitress after she played to non eye contact game again, again, again and again, catering to the locals.
Once the food arrived after 25 mintues, the sausage gravy and biscuits were luke warm and runny as water. I sent it back and they seemed to forget about it. I had to get up to remind the waitress. Meanwhile there was no Ketchup at the table for the home frys. I had to get up and speak up for that also. Waiting for this caused the home frys to get cold.
Back comes the remade plate of sausage gravy and biscuits. The owner delivered and was pleasant and apologized. The food was just warm. I capitulated and at it.
Meanwhile I had a pc of the soggy toast that was part of my wifes omelet meal.
This seemed to be a local place where customers were helping in the kitchen, then sitting down for a meal. Probably thier meals. Not sure if thats legal. One guy in his 50s was walking in and out of the kithen, perhaps an owner, not helping at all.
I had to speak up for the check, which again inconvenienced the waitress. I left a $3 tip for a $27 dollar total. I had a hard time leaving that.
Keep driving by this place if youre not a local. They are grossly understaffed, and untrained. I hope my food was brought up to the correct temperature atleast when it was cooked...
