Balance Restaurant - (Near Johnstown, PA)

Ivan P Thank you to the Fellini Café for hosting “A Night in Rome” with the accordion performer Nick D. My father absolutely loves accordion music and it was a special night out with the family. The food was excellent - long hots, risotto, pumpkin ravioli and shrimp, the steak(cooked perfectly) cheesecake and limoncello flute. Bonus points for gluten free options. We will be back!

William Cramer We stopped in after the Steelers game yesterday and were seated quickly. Nya was our server and she was great! She was attentive and very personable. I got the Buffalo chicken wrap with a salad and my wife got the Santa Fe wrap with black bean salsa. The food was great and Nya checked in periodically to see if we had everything that we needed. We will definitely be back.

Patrick Zerbe This place is a classic! Fanciest version of contemporary Pennsylvania fair, but also modern interesting takes. Definitely the fanciest seafood Ive had in this part of the world. Their appetizers are fantastic. They also cook their steaks to perfection. They will also include anchovies on their Caesar salads which I really enjoy. If you dont want to have a banquet, their bar is fantastic! They have a lot of great stuff on tap and they use name brand alcohol for all of their mixed drinks. I didnt see any cheap mixers behind the bar. The bar tender was knowlegable and friendly. She was also happy to modify anything you asked her for. Over all I Loved this place. Only thing that was a little questionable was the sort of outside cold bathroom. Thats kind of a trademark of this part of the world though.

Miss Val We came here for dinner on a Saturday evening in December. We didn’t have a reservation. We sat a the bar and we were immediately greeted by the bartender and he provided menus. We ordered drinks and then shared the calamari and crab cake entree. The calamari came out quickly and it was good. They had some banana pepper rings in there too and I like that. The crab cake meal came out as we were finishing up the calamari. There was a big topping of micro greens on both the appetizer and the entree. The crab cake was a little on the dry side but it was still good. The bartender was personable and attentive. I think his name was Devin. The atmosphere in the bar was casual and easygoing. Prices were comparable to other restaurants in the area. Parking was easy - there is a big lot next to the building. We walked up an outdoor wooden staircase to get to the main entrance but I did see a door on the same level as parking so that maybe an accessible door but maybe call ahead and ask if you can’t do stairs. We had a nice time and I would come here again.

Angela Miller Jioios has always been a favorite of mine when I am back home. This time its was very disappointing. The gluten-free pizza is lacking flavor and overcooked. Not good. The normal pizza is always cooked to perfection. Sweet crust, thin, and layer with a ton of toppings. Our service was lacking. Ivory seemed to have an attitude the whole time we were there. We waited multiple times for drinks and was standing back in the back on her phone while still waiting for drinks. We got our checks and waited for her to take payment, except she never took out payment. Another server took and processed the payment. Great specials on Sunday, BOGO pasta for $14.99.
