3 /5 Jason Klimchok: You pass through the overly bright bar area to get to the dining area which is completely contrasted. There is something to be said about the atmosphere and ambiance of dim lighting, but as the sun went down, the room got pretty dark that it was hard to actually see my plate, until some strange lighting came on like a camera flash to the face.
No notes on the twice baked potato. The fries were good, especially when dipped in the kind of au jus sauce that cant with the steak. The grilled shrimp were okay eating around the chunks of charcoal where it was over-grilled. The raspberry dipping sauce they pair with the shrimp on the menu just tasted like raspberry vinaigrette dressing; was hoping for something more. Ordered steak medium rare--one end was rare, the other medium well, and in between was medium to well done at various different cuts. Completely inconsistent and not a single section of it how I ordered.
The best part was the service, and my server was new, so props to her.
Went here on the recommendation of a local hotel, and was expecting better.
