Marge Hopkins Any successful restaurant will follow three basic rules for that success; great atmosphere, service, and of course food. The Quentin Tavern has the recipe for that success. From the east, the QT is an easy, lovely ride on 419 through Cornwall. The restaurant exists in a beautiful, historic mansion, right up this architecture appreciative girls alley. The parking is ample, though was surprisingly pretty full on a Thursday night at 6pm. There are several options for seating; a side dining room, back dining room, and deck. The deck looked absolutely beautiful, with large trees and a lovely country backdrop. Because of the heat, we sat at the back dining room near the turret-shaped window area, amazing huge pocket doors, "deep" shoe mouldings, and what appeared to be original flooring. Once seated, our server; Candace, greeted us. Ok. So, I have to stop here for a moment. The Quentin Tavern clearly understands the value of great customer service to elevate a dining experience, and had to have had that in mind when hiring Candace. She was EXCEPTIONAL-knowledgeable, quick to explain but not pushy, served with care, and was attentive without being intrusive. Her laugh was so infectious and warm! My companions ordered the cheese curds, chicken parmigiana, and crab quesadillas. I ordered the salmon. It was nice that we could switch out the sides listed with our entrees for optional sides on the menu. I had a baked potato with the house mixed vegetables to accompany my salmon. My two companions had the onion rings, and side salad. The cheese curds were delicious. The salmon was very good, the vegetable mix was tasty and fresh. The potato was large. The side salad was also large, as was the chicken parmigiana. Both friends really enjoyed their entrees. I sampled the onion rings that my one companion ordered. They came with an unusual and quite tasty dipping sauce. Its surprising how many restaurants serve onion rings that are awful. These were just the opposite, outstanding! Every choice was superb. On a weird side note, my one companion was impressed by the heft of the silverware! Ha! We will definitely be back soon!

Rana Hakami Such a cute place with some fall decorations, which I loved by the way. I ordered a Nutella crepe and an iced latte with vanilla syrup, and both tasted so good. In my opinion, the coffee is way better than Starbucks, I wish I had ordered two of them.

Audrey Hackett Had a great lunch here. I ordered the Black Heron sandwhich and my friend had the Finch. I got the pesto tortellini pasta salad as a side instead of chips and it was delicious. Good service and a super clean ladies room.

J Martin Asked for a suggestion from staff and ordered the scambler, no regrets. Enjoyed the French toast, liked it a little crispy, perfect. My daughter was nice enough to share with me. Dont assume from the outside facsod, go in, and youll get comfortable really quick on the couches. Next time through town, I will stop in again.

Joshua Brechbuehl Our first time visiting this establishment and we could not have been more impressed! The service was welcoming and excellent. The small plates were not very small and were absolutely delicious! The chef clearly knows how to make dishes taste savory. The beer and wine selection is top notch and our waiter was well educated. There is a piano in the main dining area, though it was not being played during our visit, the vibe of the restaurant conveys it would be an amazing piano bar experience. Oh, did I mention the food was fantastic? There is a bar and lounge upstairs that offers a small and relaxing getaway from the main area on the first floor. Will go back often!

Sean Slattery Arrived in town for a short stay from Florida. The minute we arrived we were greeted by professional and young college kids at the hostess stand. We waited for 10 minutes while our table was assigned. Perfect table on the terrace facing the 18th hole. Sarah our hostess from Penn state was a joy to get to know. We all ordered from the huge menu selection and couldnt decide what to order. We saw The table next to us and the presentation looked amazing. We finally ordered steaks and salmon as our meal with delicious drinks. Perfect Saturday night at a great venue in York Pa. Keep up the great work Shaun Conway and your team. We will be back. Thank you for your hospitality!
