Fig & Ash - (Near Pittsburgh, PA)

5 /5 Phillip S: I thought the service was excellent, and the drinks were just as impressive. My favorite dishes were the mid plate Spinach Ravioli and the large plate Halibut—both were outstanding. The small plate carrots were tender and flavorful. The Cajun Shrimp Dip (small plate) was just okay, and I wouldn’t order it again. I also didn’t care for the flavor of the sauce on the Airline Chicken, so I can’t recommend that dish. One area for improvement is the patio—while pleasant, it lacked music, which made other tables’ conversations very easy to hear. Overall, a very enjoyable dining experience with several standout items.

5 /5 Lex: One word: Divine Fig & Ash has everything, attentive staff, divine meals, and a wonderful atmosphere. I only wish I took a picture of the pork belly burnt ends as that stole the crown for the best dish Ive had all year. Dishes in the photos are Bavetta Steak and Halibut, both exceptional.

5 /5 Bob F: This was the first visit to Fig & Ash for my wife and I. What a fantastic experience! Our "starters" were the heirloom carrots and the crab cake. I love growing and eating heirloom carrots, but these were just next level; just the right amount of "doneness" and great flavor with the sauces. The crabcake with mushroom was something unexpected; who knew that those 2 flavors would go together but they sure did. The mushrooms not only provide some flavor but also replace most (if not all) of the filler typically found in other crab cakes. Our entrees were the duck breast and the decadent meatloaf. The duck breast was cooked perfectly with a nicely seasoned crust. One would normally not think of meatloaf in a high-end place like Fig & Ash, but when its made with short rib and pork belly, how can you go wrong; certainly worth a repeat order. Cocktails were also quite tasty. The service was excellent. The whole team seemed to work well together. They were very attentive but not intrusive, a nice balance of paying attention to each customer in a busy, packed restaurant. We will definitely be coming here again!

The food was both unique and expertly crafted. The drinks were equally impressive, showcasing a thoughtful blend of creativity and precision. As out-of-town visitors, my wife and I were thoroughly impressed and will undoubtedly make it a point to return during our next trip to Pittsburgh.
