J S (Kyra) A small-town place, but a welcomed addition. Everything was hot and fresh. The chicken empanadas were especially tasty, as was my Bandeja paisa. It has that cozy, small town home cooking taste and feel. The price of paid is the portion of what I got was great! I can easily get two meals out of this, if not three. I only wish I remembered to take a picture before I tucked in to my plate. The service was good and the man who waited on us was so kind and sweet. The food came out pretty fast, too! Please come give these guys a visit! :)

Donna S. Another exceptional meal at Deer Lake Pub! I never cease to be amazed with the new specials as well as the original favorites. They go well above pub fare here. Fantastic bartender, too! They were out of what I wanted, and he made me something even tastier. I was excited to see several tempting new additions to the menu. My husband ordered his usual favorite, the fish and chips. A generous portion of battered haddock, always cooked to perfection. I decided to try their new shortrib sandwich and sweet potato fries. I was blown away by the delicious blend of flavors! The meat was pull-apart tender, and the cut of beef was easily 2 inches thick. The sweet potato fries were crispy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Well be back again soon to try some more of the new menu items!

Tonya Angel My sister and I took my mother who has alzheimers out for the day and wanted to try somewhere new. I had heard good things about the place so we tried. So glad we did. Our server Chelsea was outstanding. She was friendly and warm and made us feel right at home. The mushroom soup was great and the fish sandwich was very crispy. We will definitely be back!

Brienne Felty My fiancé and I booked McCarthy’s to host our rehearsal dinner for the night before our wedding. I can’t thank Ivan enough for his kindness and dedication in making our intimate dinner a cozy and relaxed evening. The food was unique and delicious! I highly recommend McCarthy’s to anyone looking to host an event.

Shelly Cable Stopped in for lunch while Black Friday shopping. We expected a bit of a wait given the high volume shopping day but we only waited about 10 minutes. Our server was very polite and helpful. She picked up that I was trying to covertly cover the bill while my fellow diners were wanting to split the check. Our meals were delicious but the soup could have been warmer. It was busy with most seats filled. The check for four diners was reasonable. All this making our break from shopping an enjoyable time.

Thomas Velez From NY, wanted to go somewhere for lunch/ dinner. Decided Scranton was a good place to go... farr street tavern popped up on restaurants in Scranton PA. Asked the family, and thats where we went.. It was cold out, I asked to turn the outdoor heater on, the waitress had no problems with turning it on.. great atmosphere wonderful service. And Scranton,.. beautiful little city
