Wen Tung We had a nice dining experience here and would recommend it. I would like to return to try more things on the menu. Everything we ordered was really good. We got the Peking Duck, chargrilled aged beef, and dim sum sampler (added a third of each one for our party of 3). My only complaint was the Chinese mustard sauce drizzled all over the Szechuan fries with the steak. It didn’t taste good and it made the fries soggy. If the menu had mentioned it, I would have asked for the mustard to be on the side. The Peking Duck was really good! They deboned the entire duck which is unusual. The dim sum sampler was tasty. The edamame dumpling was a pleasant surprise. The shrimp dumpling was ok (the filling was too chunky and it fell apart after one bite). The pork wonton and chicken Ginger dumplings were very good. We got the strawberry dessert and the chocolate cake with banana buttercream and caramel peanuts. The strawberry one was described to us as a “deconstructed strawberry shortcake” but there wasn’t really any cake. The presentation was nice but we didn’t care for it. The chocolate/banana/peanut butter one was better. Our service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.

R J Weve been going to Ghezzis since 1985. Do not trust any negative reviews. Those people simply dont appreciate excellent food. We consistently get great food including lots of seafood choices, steaks and of course Italian dishes. Service is super and attentive. We have traveled in Italy several times plus eaten at fine dining restaurants from Vancouver BC to Portland Maine and Ghezzis remains a favorite.

Marc B Was here for a few days on business, this placed popped up and I’m glad I went. Really nice patio area and bar, they had great music playing, sports on the tv and very clean. Atmosphere was great, plenty of space, the food was fantastic and fast. The service was phenomenal, very attentive and friendly to an out of towner. Will return when I’m back in the area.

Next came the salad, which was simple yet stunning. The combination of fresh greens and high-quality dressing turned a typical dish into something luxurious. The sharp, bright vinaigrette caught my attention in the best way possible. For our main course, every dish we tried was superb. The pasta stood out with its rich flavors, perfectly cooked noodles, and creative combinations that left a lasting impression. The seasonal specials, particularly the seafood and meat dishes, clearly demonstrate the chef’s expertise and passion for cooking. The service was just as remarkable as the food. Our server was attentive and sincere, offering thoughtful recommendations that showed real passion for what they do. Chef and the owners have crafted a menu that feels both classic and refreshingly innovative, bringing together fresh seasonal ingredients in memorable and tasty ways. To cap off the meal, we indulged in dessert, which was the perfect conclusion — rich and satisfying, showcasing the kitchens skill. Nicole Goss A Perfect On-Site Dining Spot for Wedding Weekends in Philadelphia! Red Owl Tavern is such a great complement to Hotel Monaco Philadelphia and a standout dining option in its own right. The atmosphere strikes a really nice balance — lively yet comfortable, modern without feeling cold — which makes it especially ideal for wedding weekends. The current/temporary restaurant space (as of 1/10/26) can be seen in the images here, as the original tavern is being renovated. Even the temporary area is thoughtfully designed and welcoming, making it a natural gathering spot for rehearsal dinners, post-rehearsal drinks, or casual meals with family and friends in town for a celebration.
