5 /5 Ulyana K: Personally, I really liked this place. The food is quite solid, but the 5 star really comes from the experience here. Its super homey. The owner (the lady) sat with us and talked to us and all the other diners, making jokes and just generally having a good time. She was very cool. The ambiance is so very nice, very Hungarian. Now the food: I tried the goulash, Lagos, chicken soup, chicken paprikas, and a cherry strudel. Most of the food was excellent. Both the soups were outstanding. Well seasoned. The chicken soup was filled with interesting noodles and was very warm, and the goulash had tender meat and flavorful broth. The langos was pretty interesting and well made too, but not my favorite. Its a street food, like a fried bread with some toppings like sour cream and cheese. It tasted a little bland and a tad oily, but the sour cream was a nice addition. The main course, the chicken paprikas, was also quite good. The chicken was pretty tender, I believe a mix of dark and white meat. The sauce is quite nice, and again the sour cream works really well here. The noodles are also very well made, very authentic. Finally, for dessert, I had the cherry strudel. I absolutely loved it, so much so that I almost forgot to take a picture (ate immediately)! Filled to the brim with cherries, soup, sweet, and perfect. Good size and fair price. Highly recommend.

5 /5 Tammie Rabbitt: Excellent food, worth a visit! My family recommends the Huszar appetizer platter. The meat, cheese, veggies, fruit and bread were delicious. The sweet kraut on the Hungarian kielbasa was so good. The homemade dumplings with beef tips and gravy was also yummy.

5 /5 Berk: I had the pleasure of trying this restaurant out today. And let me tell you what, It’s one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. The owners are very nice and Very welcoming! I cannot wait to go back.

4 /5 Patrick John: What a lovely little restaurant with great comfort food. I brought my family after visiting nearby Allegheny General hospital which was only a few blocks away. We had a wonderful little feast with everyone sharing a bit of their entrees. I ordered the Magyar Schnitzel which was delicious. It was lightly breaded and the mushroom sauce and dumplings were such a treat. Overall, it is worth a stop if you are craving a locally prepared comfort meal.

5 /5 Ana Vesin: I can’t even describe the joy I felt when I discovered a Hungarian restaurant in Pittsburgh. The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for proper, healthy, and delicious food. 10/10. Important: Parking is available in front of and behind the restaurant, free of charge for up to 2 hours.
