Jumangis Bistro Cafe - (Near Lock Haven, PA)

5 /5 J: Vibe: Warm, cozy, and eclectically cool. Staff/Owner: Inviting. Makes you feel like you are family. Food: Amazing! I try to get out and about every Saturday. This will most likely be the weekend stop. We ordered Marry Me Chicken, Pepperoni Eggrolls, Crazy Shrimp Ramen Noodle Platter that is perfectly spicy, and the Seafood Boil - without Crawfish (our choice) Everything was seasoned and tasted incredible. The Marry Me Chicken is enough to feed 2, so definitely had to get most of it to go. Were excited for a new spot that isnt just pizza, burgers, or subs - which they do have in case you have a picky eater in your group. Definitely worth it to stop in and try.

5 /5 Lynn Gray: Our lunch today was amazing. We had the Texas brisket melt and Bangkok noodle bowl. Both were amazing. I can’t wait to go back any try other items in the menu.

5 /5 Diane S: Today we visited a new Lock Haven eatery. Upon arrival, the owner indicated that they were operating on a limited menu, featuring breakfast items such as sandwiches, eggs, bacon, and toast, or lunch options including slow-roasted pork shoulder (Pernil), rice, and seasoned collards. We selected the lunch option, which proved to be outstanding. The pork shoulder was tender and full of flavor, and the collards were delicious with nice chunks of bacon. The side of crispy rice was also a highlight, richly infused with pork juices. Portions were quite large. The owner provided attentive service, regularly checking in on us while multitasking to train the kitchen staff. Its exciting to think about the potential of this charming bistro and the variety of homemade dishes yet to be tried. We cant wait to return once she is fully operational.

5 /5 Rebeca Sandstrom: I came in with my boyfriend after walking past it several times and getting interested, and I cannot overstate how delightful of an overall experience Jumangis is! Just walking in to the eclectic but cohesive atmosphere was wonderful in itself, but the service was amazingly friendly, hospitable, and warm. And the food itself was OUTSTANDING, even when they were operating on their limited menu! We ordered the sausage with rice, the chicken parm, and the cappuccino macarons, and all three became instant favorites (every other macaron Ive had pales in comparison to these--they are flakey, flavorful, and fluffy like you cannot believe!). I cant wait to make this place a regular dining spot; I will be recommending Jumanjis to everyone I meet and I am proud to welcome it as a facet of Lock Haven!

5 /5 Susan Birdsey: My husband and I drove by this last week and thought it looked interesting. We popped in for dinner tonight. They had a limited menu because their grand opening is on January 3rd. We had the dinner plate pork shoulder, rice and peas and collard greens. It was excellent. I had a mild hot sauce with mine which really kicked the pork. The owner and major took good care of us. It was an extremely tasty meal and it was very reasonable. The restaurant itself is decorated in a very eclectic way and has a really fun vibe. I love that most of the decorations are recycled. I couldnt resist the croissants which were pecan and chocolate, but the macarons were my favorite. I got hazelnut, cappuccino and key lime. Ive eaten macarons all over the world and these by far were the best that I have had!
