5 /5 Richard W: Dining at Jumbars is like going to a good friend’s house for brunch, and they’re a great cook. The food’s homey, comforting, and simple. If offered, get the sweet strata (hot bread pudding with fruit sauce) to warm you up from the inside. I recommend splitting it as a dessert as it’s too sweet as a standalone meal. One order is large enough for four people (do the half order with fewer people). The rotating selection of soups are always delicious, especially the chowder in the style of Boston and Maine, as well as the hearty minestrone.
