Tacks Inn - Lewis Run

Rating: 4.7 /5
Jack Knapp Burgers are the best in the region. Buns are buttered & lightly toasted to perfection & the hand formed beef patties seasoned & cooked to a wonderful flavor. Fries are always perfect & a generous portion. Highly recommend.

Pit Take BBQ - Greensburg

Rating: 4.6 /5
Brian Killed it. Ive had KC BBQ numerous times at some of the institutions and Pit Take could compete all day. The rub did it for me. Ribs were perfect. The greens were amazing. You can tell the pit master knows his craft. I cant wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.

The SpringHouse Country Market and Restaurant - Washington

Rating: 4.5 /5
Denise Allen I love visiting this place, especially in Fall! Their market has a great range as well as delicious hot food. The Fall Fun on the Farm festival is so much fun! There’s so many games, activities, snacks, drinks and amazing live music!!

Old Corner Hotel - Williamsport

Rating: 4.4 /5
Cody Bost I was in the area and had a wonderful dinner at the Old Corner. The dining room is beautiful and was surprisingly quiet at 7:30 on a Friday evening, granted this was my first time, but the bar area was packed. The focaccia was amazingly fresh and I can’t rave enough about the pickled peppers served as part of the dipping ensemble. Amazing and unlike any bread dipping mix that I’ve ever experienced. The clams casino was prepared very well and worthy of trying, but the clams themselves had a mediocre flavor. This place isn’t exactly on the beachfront, so I can’t fault them for the clam stock. For the main course I chose the filet mignon seared in a bacon-balsamic redux, medium, with mashed potatoes. The steak was a little beyond medium, but everything about it was absolutely perfect; so tender and fantastically flavorful. If I was still in town tonight, I might do it all over again.

Hotel Loyal Pizza - Latrobe

Rating: 4.6 /5
John Danek It’s a small town bar-restaurant from back in my college days. True Americana in Latrobe PA. I return for the wonderful thick square pizza, even fifty years later. Worth the forty mile drive.
