3 /5 Josh Huntington: Marblehead Chowder House is a seafood restaurant located on William Penn Hwy. in Easton. Its open every day 11 AM - 9 PM.
This spot had been on my radar for quite some time, so I was happy to finally make it in. The experience was enjoyable, though it didnt quite meet the expectations I had going in.
I started with clams casino, fried calamari, and baked French onion soup. The clams casino was satisfying, but the calamari was undercooked. The baked French onion soup was perfectly hot, rich, and cheesy, definitely the standout of the three.
For my entree I ordered the pan seared shrimp and scallops with lobster risotto. The dish was slightly greasy, but it remained well-balanced and indulgently flavorful overall.
Service was definitely on the slower side. That said, Im never in a rush dining out, so it wasnt a big deal for me.
