Pottsville Diner - (Near Pottsville, PA)

5 /5 Vickie Richards: Want a great little throwback to the 50s? Then this is your place. Cozy atmosphere, really good food, reasonable prices and portions (in this economy) and friendly staff make this a great stop if you love diners. I travel frequently and get burgers every where but this time I opted for something most restaurants cant master, an open faced tuna melt. Friends that were dining with me said the burgers they had were great but I have to say Im glad I strayed to the Tuna. Its difficult to make great tuna but this diner did not disappoint which in my mind says that the other items on the menu are probably prepared just as well. After all, its great to change up from time to time and its good to know that when you do want something a little different you can count on the local "burger joint" to come throught!

5 /5 Christina M: This is such a quaint little diner that really showcases the 1950s in a pleasant, non-overbearing way. From the 1950s decor, to the music softly playing in the background it really takes you back to a simpler time. When I walked in an hour to close, the server, Destiny, greeted me straight away and offered a booth for me to sit at while taking care of a couple customers sitting at their old-timey dining bar. She brought me their extensive menu, took my drink order and explained the special and soup of the day. I ordered a Blue Moon burger that was cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced ($12 with an over 30% tip). After the other customers left, she and I began talking and I ended up moving to the bar to complete my meal with friendly conversation. If you end up stopping in this small mountain town I would HIGHLY recommend giving this place a try, you wont be dissappointed.

1 /5 myrna hernandez: I had been there several years and I enjoyed it immensely.The food was good.The atmosphere was good.The decor is very retro. But unfortunately this visit. was not the same, not even close. It started with the shift manager unhappy with something one of the customers addressed her about . She began to carry on verbally, not quietly, not taking the customer aside to resolve the issue . Instead, she threw a plate down on the inside counter.She didnt stop. She just let her displeasure with that customer be known to everyone in the diner. She even followed the customer outside to verbally continue her out of control nonsense. And the food is not something I will go back for. Sad, it used to be a nice place to go and have a meal and enjoy the atmosphere.
