Skeeters BBQ - (Near Shamokin Dam, PA)

5 /5 Jonathon Kuzma: Best BBQ place in the area! Great atmosphere with awesome views of the river. The food is phenomenal, especially the ribs and brisket, which were cooked perfectly. The cornbread is moist and so tasty, definitely one of the best sides on the menu. And the views of the Susquehanna River from up on the hill make the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

5 /5 doug Herbert: It wasnt very busy, and service was fast and friendly. The view of the rover was nice and all five of us loved our food. I had the pulled pork on salad greens, everything was fresh and the corn muffin was fantastic! Will definitely stop on our way through again.

1 /5 Amanda Lyons: Honestly this was my very first time early birthday present! The only thing I ended up eating was a container of fries and my kids did like the chicken tenders atleast. I got a Full Rack of Ribs and they were tough!! Ribs if cooked properly are tender not tough! I shouldn’t have to use a sharp knife to cut them. We ordered a taco salad and this is what I got nacho shells and a regular salad where’s the cheese the meat?! Sadly I don’t think I’ll be returning. Please also remind your staff that while wearing he gloves he shouldn’t be putting his hands on his head/hair then proceed to cut the brisket at the bar. Then he pulled hair off his shirt with those same gloves then went back to touching and cutting the meat. Thankfully he did not touch any of the food I ordered because if he did I would have walked out! I will say the lady who took our order was very nice.

5 /5 Doron Yakovlev Golani: This place is a restaurant with a view. I think the view is worth the drive. The food was tasty, but I think the portions could have been bigger. My brisket sandwich came with a small piece of pickle and a small bag of chips. Service was excellent and attentive.

5 /5 Kent Engelmann: We have been driving past this place as we drive back and forth from upstate NY and Virginia and other southern states. Well today we finally stopped here for dinner. A very nice treat. We had the pulled pork which was very good. So many other choices. Service was prompt and The staff checked on us regularly and were very helpful. The restaurant is beautiful wood beam construction. All clean and neat. The view from the hilltop of the Susquehanna River was exceptional. Worth the stop. Music on Tuesday evenings.
