1 /5 Monica Hamilton: We went with friends for New Years Eve. The fixed menu was extremely limited- as a vegetarian, I had 1 option. I requested Italian dressing instead of Caesar on my salad.
Three of the four appetizers arrived at the table, along with our dinner sides. I waited at least another 15 minutes for my salad. When it eventually arrived, it had Caesar dressing on it. She took it back and after another extended wait, brought a new salad with Caesar on the side. When I mentioned I had requested Italian because I dont eat anchovies, I was told thats all they had. I aaked I could get oil and vinegar, she finally offered a dill dressing which was positively awful. So the first course of my $85 meal consisted of dry romaine lettuce sprinkled with parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. I ate about three bites.
My second course, the only vegetarian option, was a huge head of steamed cauliflower, atop plain lentils. Zero flavor at all. I ate about four bites. Thankfully I had ordered the side of roasted carrots for the table. Unfortunately, since they had come out with everyone elses appetizers, they were ice cold by the time I ate them 45 minutes later.
I hoped the creme brulee dessert would save the day since it is my favorite. It was not good at all. The consistency was mealy and oily. Not smooth and creamy as it should be. I ate half, only because I was starving.
The three other people in my party had slightly better meals, but not by much.
I will say the hostess and servers worked as a team, however they made no attempt to determine who ordered which meal or drink. Even when we tried to help them, they just sat food and drinks in front of us, seemingly by guess or roll of the dice. Every single item had to be passed to the correct person.
Pros? It was easy to get a table, and now we know why. The view is nice. The server was friendly and did her best.
I will not go back. Ever.
