Elizabeth jelovich I’ve been to this place about 10 times in the past 2-3 yrs. I got a kennywood pass & today suggested it to my husband I wanted to order it to go. I also ordered my grandparents a few slices cause they’re a big fan of square pizza. It’s a cash only place with an ATM. First of all a boy about 10 yrs old was hanging out outside and followed me in. They said I had a few more mins to wait & to kill time I started looking at photo albums on a rack. The boy came over & knew all the history to these old photos. He was such a smart, sweet, polite young man! She told me the price & I said I had to run out to the car for the rest of $$ because I was $7 short, she told not to worrry about it& gave me a bunch of bananas. I just can’t believe how awesome this family is. The boy was the grandson of the original owners. You just instantly felt welcomed here. The pizza is amazing!! I have an Italian hoagie here I didn’t even try yet but it smells and looks amazing. It just feels loved. It’s definitely underrated. They are are open Thursday-Saturday 4-8pm. Hours are weird but worth the accommodation. The world is hard and cold. This place almost made me cry with a simple interaction with this family & the regular customers there.

Raising Canes Chicken Fingers - North Versailles Township

Rating: 4.2 /5
Michael Hinzman Honestly, this place is simple and correct. The staff was friendly and efficient while still having fun being young and human: Non intrusive, appropriate side conversations. The music was an excellent mix of new and not quite so new and fit the mixed up vibe of the decor. The menu is tiny, which is a good thing. The price was very reasonable. I had a combo box. The chicken fingers were legit the best fast food chicken I think Ive ever had. The fries were simple and good. Even the Texas toast was done just right. Im sure people talk about the sauce, but the chicken and the breading were by far the star. Its a great place to take the family, hit the drive through, or stop after an event. It wont break the bank and the quality is several steps above whatever other chicken place youre thinking about. It is no surprise this chain is growing so fast.

Mark Frederick I ordered a sandwich as a takeout order. Food was good, me and my partner were very satisfied. Buying local and eating local is also a good thing. This thing also prompts me to post photos. What kind am I supposed to post? Ok, I will post something I am known for in the community while I say...support local businesses and support local charities. Also, if you want to host the local Salvation Army in front of your business but dont want your customers to be chased away by the annoying bell , then consider contacting your local chapter and ask for the dude with the toy animal band pictured in the photos. I will draw in customers to your business instead of chasing them away. Jazz music is better than the bell

Brooklyn Place 1140 Rockland street (Reading) - Reading

Rating: 4.3 /5
Aaron Jones TLDR: Yes, worthy of the 5 stars. Today was my first time experiencing Brooklyn Place and I must say that I am very pleased. Went in thinking it was just a Cafe and I wanted to support a local Cafe in my area of Reading, to my surprise it is a full restaurant. The staff is very polite and go above and beyond for their customers. Nice quiet place, comfortable atmosphere and plenty of parking in this shopping center. My order was a large iced coffee, a veggie omelette with home fries, rye toast and a side of sausage. Total cost was $18 and some change. Iced coffee: Best I have ever had. I have previously worked in cafes and Starbucks, also I am a coffee fiend, and try new places often. In my 37 years on this planet, I have never had an iced coffee this good. Just with cream and sugar. Veggie Omelette: Delicious, but a tad bit on the greasy side. Very fair with the ingredients/fillings, without being too dense, still fluffy. Home Fries: Soft, golden brown, seasoned cubes of joy. Very good. Personally I would like them fried just a little longer to give them a light crunch. Rye Toast and Sausage: Bagged Rye sandwich bread, not seeded. Basic, but honestly we dont need some fancy bread or anything like that. A thumbs up for the toast and sausage links. Definitely will be coming back and bringing family. They got themselves a new recurring customer.
