Russell Blanchard I have stopped here many times on my travels to and from Houston and New Mexico. Never once have I been disappointed with the food or the service. Recently the exterior has been updated with new paint and generally a more pleasant, updated look. The restrooms are always clean and trash free. The staff are friendly and serve your order with a smile on their faces. My go to order is two red beef burritos. These are consistently delicious and well worth the price. I think what makes them great is the quality of the beef and the freshness of the ingredients. How they get the beef to be delicious and grease free is a mystery to me but its always wonderful. The red sauce is like hot fudge on vanilla ice cream, a great addition! I recommend this restaurant!

Priscila Webb I had an incredible dinner here! The corn bread, collard greens, and mash potatoes were delicious, but the pork chops stole the show - absolutely divine! The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with jazz music filling the air every Friday. Cant wait to come back!

James Riley My first time........ Today is July 25, 2025, and its awesome. I stopped by on my way, running errands. I was in the mood for paste and shrimp. MAMIE GS DID NOT DISAPPOINT ‼️ AMAZING FOOD AND AWESOMENESS SERVICE. You have a customer for life. I got the catfish and shrimp. With the Cajun Seafood Raste Pasta. Phenomenal. Jon Grones This is a mom and pop small diner with excellent food and good prices too. I have tried almost everything they serve and it is excellent from top to bottom. Parking can be a little bit of a struggle during peak hours so plan ahead. It’s well worth it!
